James Lester Oliver, 84, of Phil Campbell, Ala. passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010. 

Funeral services were held on Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010 at Akins Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Lawler and Rev. John Andrews officiating.  Interment was in Shady Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Kody Andrews, Alan Swinney, Owen Swinney, Charles Overton, Tommy Thompson, and Jack Hargett.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Leona Oliver; sisters, Carrie Rea and Eva Lawler; brother, Jess Oliver.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Betty Jo Oliver; daughter, Donna Andrews and husband, John; brother, Leonard Oliver; grandchildren, Casie Andrews, Kody Andrews.

Special thanks to Dr. Keith Morrow at Hackleburg office and staff; Home Health and Alacare Hospice nurses and staff, and everyone who helped the family in any way during this difficult time.
