Daisy J. Coan, 80, of Muscle Shoals, Ala., passed away Dec. 3, 2010, at ECM Hospital after an extended illness.

She was a beloved mother, wife, and homemaker and a member of Highland Park Baptist Church in Muscle Shoals, Ala.

She is survived by her husband, William Gaither Coan, of Muscle Shoals; daughter, Charlotte F. Coan, of Muscle Shoals; son, James M. Coan, of Las Vegas, Nev.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Opal Cook.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Dec. 5, 2010 at Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville, Ala. with Bro. Ted Vafeas officiating.  Burial was in Tharptown Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Bradley Coan, Joey Coan, James “Bo” Goss, Andy Lane, Preston Potter, and Ronny Potter.

Honorary bearers were Sam Bradford, Charles Fisher, Dr. William Heaton, and Dennis Morgan.
