Donna Jean Johnson Parker, 57, of Tuscumbia, loving wife, daughter, sister, and aunt, passed away peacefully at home Nov. 16, 2010. Born in Russellville, she grew up in Colbert County and graduated from Colbert Heights High School, where she chaired first clarinet and was a majorette.
Donna a graduate of Auburn University was a retired retail and hospital pharmacist who always took great pride in providing excellent service to her customers and patients. In 1988, she and her husband established an architectural firm in Russellville which grew and prospered and continues today in Tuscumbia. Donna greatly enjoyed family, nature, quilting, and especially singing hymnals with her family. She was a member of Christ’s Vineyard Bible Baptist Fellowship in Littleville.
She was preceded in death by her brother, James Douglas Johnson; and her grandparents, Clifton and Effie Byrd, and Richard Johnson and Bessie Stokes.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Donald R. Parker; parents, James C. and Dorothy C. Johnson; sister, Debra Hand and husband, Michael; brother, Jon D. Johnson; sister-in-law, Diane Johnson; and mother-in-law, Beatrice Russell. She will always be a special Aunt Donnie to her nieces, Christen Frederickson and Rebecca Johnson; and her nephews, Coty Hand, Chesley Hand, Ryan Johnson, and Ryland Johnson.
Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 19, 2010 at Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville with Brother Phillip Skipworth officiating at the funeral and graveside services. Burial was in Franklin Memory Gardens.

The family wishes to sincerely thank the many friends and many kind strangers who have prayed for Donna and her family, as well as Dr. Kabele of Vanderbilt Medical Center, M.D. Anderson Clinic, Dr. Randy Pounders and staff, and Keller Hospice.
She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, co-workers, and all who knew her.
