Stacie Vandiver

June 10, 2010

Stacie Wells Vanderver, of Dothan, passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2010,

at the age of 89. She was born and raised in Isbell, AL and a former

resident of Birmingham, AL. She was a member of the Greatest Generation, a

U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. Mrs. Vanderver was active in the Eastern Star for

many years and a member of Covenant United Methodist Church in Dothan.

She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Austin Vanderver; a son, Wayne Vanderver, and wife, Valora, of Dallas, Ga.; a daughter, Pamela Manning and husband, John, ofDothan; 4 grandchildren, Chris and Jeff Vanderver, and John and Alex

Manning; 2 great grandchildren, Dakotah and Tabitha Vanderver; one sister, Grace Searcy; one brother, Paul Wells (Peggy); and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 12, 2010, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy. 150 in Hoover. Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Doug Tate officiating.

Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
