Addis Ray Brown, 71, of Red Bay, died Sunday, Aug. 23, 2009 at his residence. He was born June 25, 1938 in Belmont, Miss.
Funeral services were held Aug. 26, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay with Bro. Billy Credille officiating. Burial was in Joel Cemetery in Dennis, Miss.
He is survived by three sister, Myrtle Humphres, Vera Mae Barnes and Linda Folks, all of Red Bay, and Chester Brown, of Golden, Miss.; two nieces, Karen Luras, Waukegan, Ill. and Kay Austin, of Columbus, Miss.; four nephews, Roger Humphres, of Atlanta, Ga., Jerry Humphres, of Red Bay, Tony Folks, of Belmont, Miss. and Don Barnes, of Iuka, Miss.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Addis Pascal and Allie Lee Ivy Brown.
Robert Houston McKinney

Robert Houston McKinney, 72, of Red Bay, died Sunday, Aug. 23, 2009 at his residence. He was born May 7, 1937 in Alabama to Thurman and Gates Davidson McKinney. He was a driver for Tiffin Motor Homes for ten years.
Graveside services were held at Ebenezer Cemetery in Vina with Bro. Nathan Davidson officiating. Burial was in Ebenezer Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home in Red Bay assisted the family.
He is survived by his wife, Pansy McKinney, of Red Bay; four children, Kathy Page and husband, Anthony, Dony McKinney and wife, Maybrus, Gary McKinney and wife, Holly, and Tim McKinney and wife, Angie, all of Red Bay; one sister, Lula Abston, of Vina; one brother, Zollie McKinney, of Detroit, Mich.; ten grandchildren, Gregory Blanton, A.J. Blanton, Kanah Holland, Daniel McKinney, Misty McKinney, Grant McKinney, Jennifer McKinney, Morgan McKinney, Hannah McKinney and Lee Alan Page; five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Beatrice Elliott, 96, of Tishomingo, Miss., died Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2009 at the Iuka Hospital. She was born March 2, 1913 in Alabama to Frederick and Sudie Palmer Cosby. She was a homemaker and member of Forrest Grove Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held at Forrest Grove Baptist Church with Bro. Frankie Smith, Bro. Andy Elliott and Bro. Mark Daily officiating. Burial was in Barton Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home in Red Bay assisted the family.
She is survived by four children, Roy Elliott and wife, Ruth, of Booneville, Miss., Jack Elliott and wife, Brenda, and Steve Elliott, all of Red Bay, and Sue Daily and husband, Kary, of Tishomingo, Miss.; twenty-one grandchildren; thirty-seven great-grandchildren; twelve great-great-grandchildren; in-laws, June Thompson, Barbara Sue Mauldin, Annette Elliott and Kenny Mauldin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, O.E. "Bo" Elliott, three sons, Chester Elliott, Billy Joe Elliott and Tommy Elliott; daughter, Ann Mauldin; and daughter-in-law, Rhonda Elliott.
Pallbearers were grandsons, Terry Elliott, Tim Mauldin, David Mauldin, Randy Elliott, Tracy Elliott, Brandon Elliott and Blake Elliott. Honorary pallbearers were great-grandsons.
Gertha Mae Cole

Gertha Mae Cole, 88, of Red Bay, died Thursday, Aug. 27, 2009 at Helen Keller Hospital. She was born February 11, 1921 in Franklin County to J.G. and Viola Barksdale Wilson. She was a homemaker and member of Halltown Methodist Church.
Funeral services were held Aug. 29, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay with Bro. Rex Manasco officiating. Burial was in Halltown Cemetery in Vina.
She is survived by one son, Robert Cole and wife, Melba K., of Red Bay; one granddaughter, Anna Cole; one great-granddaughter, Emma Grace Cole; three sisters, Lois Allen, of Vina, Dorothy Brown, Jackson, Tenn. and Lorene Traves, Albion, Mich.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Prince Albert Cole, her parents and two brothers, Leonard Wilson and Shorty Wilson.
Pallbearers were Tommy Allen, Jeff Allen, Jacob Reno, Michael Cole, Joe Autry and Dean LaMarque. Honorary pallbearer was Clay McNatt.
Mary Beatrice James

Mary Beatrice James, 79, of Haleyville, Ala. passed away Friday, August 28, 2009 at Lakeland Community Hospital in Haleyville. She was a Baptist.
Funeral services were held Aug. 30 at Pinkard Funeral Home with Rayburn Whitman officiating. Burial was in Duncan Creek Cemetery in Russellville.
She is survived by her husband, Wilmer Cecil James; grandson, Jonathan Ross McCulloch; brother, Claudell Williams; sister, Lillian May Williams Bray; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, William Jesse Williams; mother, Mary Alice Campbell; son, Johnny Odell McCulloch, grandson, Dustin Clay McCulloch; and brothers, Price Lowe, Charles James and Millard Wilsey Williams.
