    Leonard Nolan Holland, 86, of Vina, died Saturday, May 30, 2009, at his residence. He was born September 14, 1922 in Alabama to John L. and Alva Jackson Holland. He worked in the maintenance department of Western Electric for 30 years. He was a Mason in the Sunbeam Lodge in Plano, Ill. and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict.
    Services will be Thursday June 4, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay, AL with Bro. J.C. Hand and Bro. Buford Parker officiating. Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home of Red Bay will be in charge of arrangements.
    He is survived by his wife, Grace Holland of Vina.; three children, Doris McCarley, and husband Raymond of Vina, Donna Norris of Guin, and Wayne Holland of Moulton' three step-children, Linn Brown and Valerie Edlemon of Illinois and Jan Leach of Utah; one sister, Nell Knight, and husband Bob of Vina, one brother, J.C. Holland of Florida; 15 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephrews.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Ruth Parker and Vera Darby; three brothers, Elvin Holland, Leon Holland and John Ed Holland; one nephew, Dennis Holland; and one great-granddaughter, Marlee Thompson.
    Pallbearers will be Keith Spencer Kevin Spencer, Mark McCarley, Jason McCarley, Brandon Holland and Danny Brown.
    Visitation will be Wednesday, June 3, from 6-9 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay.
    Betty Mobley

    Betty Fay Mobley, 70, of Vina, died Saturday, May 30, 2009, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, Miss. She was born on July 17, 1938 in Alabama to Thomas and Carrie Clark Hightower. She was a school bus driver for 26 years and a member of the Atwood Baptist Church.
    Services were June 2 at 2 p.m. at Atwood Baptist Church in Vina, with Bro. Jerry George and Bro. Nathan Davidson officiationg. Burial was at the adjoining cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home of Red Bay directed.
    She is survived by her daughter, Regina Mobley Scott, and husband Scott, of Vina; two grandchildren, Allison Scott and Lacey Beth Scott, both of Vina; two brothers, Eddie Hightower of Cullman and Cuethal Hightower of Bear Creek; five sisters, Louise Cagle and Iva Dobbins, both of Haleyville, Louell Cole and Bobbie Fell, both of Phil Campbell, and Sheila Kimbrough of Tuscumbia; and a host of nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack Mobley, one brother and two sisters.
    Pallbearers were her nephews Steve Hightower, Randy Hester, Alton Hester, Bob Moomaw, Billy Fell, James Thornton, Josh Hand, Jacob Hand, Mike Thornton and Jeff Dobbins.
    Millard Morgan

    Millard Junior Morgan, 80, of Phil Campbell, died Sunday, May 31, 2009, at NHC Rehabilitation Center in Moulton. He was a retired truck driver and a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church in Haleyville, AL
    Services were Tuesday, June 2, at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville, with Bro, Ricky Thrasher officiating. Burial took place at Winston Memorial Cemetery.
    He is survived by his wife, Alta Mae Baker Morgan; children Sarah Ann Ard, Millard Oneal Morgan, George Wesley Morgan, Rodney Dale Morgan, Beverly Joyce Clark, Chester Dean Morgan, Rhonda Lynn Bouckaert and Vonda Ruth Jones; 25 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his parents William Hillard and Sara Etta Morgan and a son, Allen Keith Morgan.
    Betty Jo Hall

    Betty Jo Hall, 75, of Russellville, Ala. passed away Friday, May 29, 2009 at Helen Keller Hospital.
    She was a native of Haleyville, Ala. but had lived in Russellville for 55 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Russellville also affiliated with the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and Eastern Star. She retired from Russellville Ready Mix as bookkeeper after 35 years.
    Funeral services were held May 31, 2009, at First United Methodist Church of Russellville with Clint Busler and Alan Beasley officiating. Burial was in Knights of Pythias Cemetery.
    Survivors include daughters Nancy Jo Davis, of Russellville, Penny Hall Wells and husband, Tim, of Muscle Shoals; special grandsons, Tanner and John Wells; also Deanna Hitt, Shannon Hall, John Lawson, Phillip, Parker, and Kathryn Gargis; brothers, Isaac and Carlos Burleson, of Haleyville, Taft Burleson, of Florence, and Raymond Burleson, of Cullman.
    Pallbearers were Brad Burleson, Tanner Wells, Gene Matthews, Joe Porter, Christopher Hall and Scott Godsey.
    Honorary bearers were John Wells, Jimmy Weatherford and Cecil Batchelor.
    She was preceded in death by husbands, Charles T. "Blackie" Davis, John Bunn Hall; and infant daughter; sister, Alta Frederick; brother Junior Burleson.
    In lieu of flowers donations may be made to First United Methodist Church Building Fund, 311 Jackson Ave. North, Russellville, Alabama 35653.
