Tough, busy times out of the way

By Staff
Jonathan Willis
We have had many things taking place here at The Franklin County Times over the past couple of weeks.
Last week we ran our final Sunday publication, which included a 64-page Progress edition. It is something our staff worked tirelessly on and so far, it seems to have been well received by our readers.
This week we ran our final Friday edition and today, you are reading our first Saturday publication.
Beginning Wednesday, March 4, all of our newspapers will be delivered by the United States Postal Service.
All Wednesday and Saturday editions will arrive to you by this medium.
Our Franklin County Times Shopper will continue being delivered by our carriers and will still await you as you awake on Wednesday mornings.
Somehow in the middle of all these changes, our staff managed to step up even more than ever and I cannot begin to describe how appreciative I am for that.
Last Sunday I stopped by the office just long enough to look for something.
Actually I was looking to see if my son, Ty, had left his Chucky Cheese football at my office on Friday evening.
I didn't find the ball, but I did find something else – a huge mess.
Apparently last Saturday's rains were more than I had thought. Monday morning we found major damages on our roof and all throughout the week we dealt with water leaks and falling ceiling tiles.
Someone even said they saw animals gathering in my office ready to load the ark.
Okay, maybe I am exaggerating a bit, but we certainly had a mess.
It is the kind of challenge that brings out the best in some people.
That's what I found this week in my co-workers.
Rather than stepping back and looking for an easier way out, they stepped up and for that I cannot be more proud.
