Teddie Otis Potter

Teddie Otis Potter, 72, of Phil Campbell, Ala., passed away Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2009, at his residence. He attended Pleasant Hill Congregational Methodist Church and was a retired farmer.
He will lie in state 1 hour prior to the 2 p.m. funeral service on Friday, Jan. 16 at Pleasant Hill Congregational Methodist Church with Bro. Danny Hammett and Bro. Merrell Potter officiating. Interment will be in East Franklin Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Joey Quillen, Jonathon Baker, Jason Baker, Chris Newell, Jeremy Potter and Cory Potter. Honorary pallbearer will be his grandson, Eric Ergle, who is away serving his country in U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, C.J. and Eliza Potter; sister, Lorene Jones; great-granddaughter, Haley Richardson; nephew, Avery Morgan; and father and mother-in-law, Ausie and Susie Blankenship.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Edna Jean Blankenship Potter; children, Steve Potter and special friend Nancy James of Russellville, Gary Potter and wife Mary of Spruce Pine, Rhonda Baker and husband Charles, Wendy and husband David Ergle and Gregg Potter and wife Angela of Phil Campbell; brother, Earl Potter of Phil Campbell; sisters, Nadine Woodard of Moulton and Sue Morgan Smith of Phil Campbell; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Ernest Edmond "Josh" Harrison, 83, of Haleyville, Ala., passed away Monday, Jan. 12, 2009, at the VA Hospital in Birmingham.
Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 16 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville. A private graveside service will be Friday, Jan. 16 at Winston Memorial Cemetery in Haleyville.

Frances E. Tucker

Frances Elizabeth Tucker, 66, of Russellville, Ala., passed away Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2009, at Russellville Hospital.
She was a native of Marion County, but had lived in Franklin County for the past 19 years. She was a member of South Highland Baptist Church in Muscle Shoals.
A memorial service will be 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16 at Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville with Coy Marbutt and Shilon Hackett officiating.
She is survived by her children, Jeremy Wayne Tucker, Stephen Lynn Tucker and Angela Maria Kelley, all of Russellville; brother, John Holloway; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husband, James Tucker.
Pinkard Funeral Home assisted the family.
