Judith Sims Walls

Judith Sims Walls, 53, of Haleyville, Ala., passed away, Jan. 5, 2009, at her home.
Judy and her family have been living in Haleyville the past three months after moving from Columbia, S.C. She was a member of Our Lady Guadalupe Church in Haleyville.
The funeral mass will be held Sunday, Jan. 11 at 3 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Father David Buchanan will be conducting the service and her brother, Dr. Marion H. Sims, Jr., will be giving the eulogy.
She was preceded in death by her father, Marion H. Sims.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. Allan C. Walls; mother, Kathryn N. Sims, of Talladega; children, Lauren Anne Walls, Joseph Allan Walls and Nicola Summers Walls, all of Haleyville; sisters, Amy Sims Locklin of Talladega and Virginia Sims Jefferson of Birmingham; and a host of other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville assisted the family.

Faye Gilbert Bell, 80, of Haleyville, Ala., passed away, Monday, Jan. 5, 2009, at Lakeland Community Hospital. She was a member of Ephesus Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Jan. 7, 2009 at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville, with Oscar Miles officiating. Burial was at Winston Memorial Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Ross Bell; sisters, Billie McCrary, Jewell Lakeman and Frances Albright; and a host of relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Clara Hamby; sisters, Lorene Martin, Hazel Lovett and Barbara Godsey; and brothers, Edsel and Charlie Hamby.
