Local club sponsoring Christmas Bazaar

The Mountain Top Homemakers are gearing up for their annual Christmas Bazaar.
The event to raise money for the club will be held tomorrow at the Union Community Center.
Club member Kathy Snider said the proceeds from the fundraiser will go to purchase supplies for the club.
"Everything we make is for charity," Snider said. "We don't sell anything we make at the meetings; we donate it to charity."
Snyder said the club furnishes quilts for the Russellville Hospital Nursery, cards for St. Jude's Children's Hospital, care packages for local soldiers serving in Iraq, tote bags for Safeplace and the Cerebral Palsy Center.
Snider said the club meets the second Thursday of every month, and they spend that time making items to donate.
"We are not a social club," Snider said. "We are a working club."
She said the members arrive at the center around 10 a.m. and they work until time to eat lunch.
"Everyone brings a covered dish, and we have lunch," Snider said. "After we get done with eating, we get back to work."
The group usually finishes up around 2 p.m. to go home.
Tomorrow's bazaar will begin at 8 a.m. There will be Christmas crafts, quilts, aprons, baked goods, and a a wide range of Christmas gift selections.
"We want to encourage everyone to come and attend this year's bazaar and help us raise money for our supplies so we can continue to donate items to charity," Snider said.
