Teenaged pedestrian killed on Hwy. 24

A Russellville teen was killed early Friday morning when he was struck by a truck as he crossed the road.
Officials said that 19 year-old Cordarrell Ramon Tiggs, of Stonecrest Apartments, was killed about 1 a.m. after being hit by a 1991 blue Ford Ranger.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators said the truck was traveling west on Alabama 24 just past Pinkard Funeral Home when the driver suddenly saw someone in the middle of the road.
Reports indicate that Tiggs was walking home from a relative's house when the accident occurred.
