    Ramiro R. Castillo, Ronald Dale Gibson, J.M. Gills, Hal L. Wiley

    Ramiro Rodriguez Castillo, age 39, of Russellville, passed away Thursday, February 17, 2005, in Colbert County.
    Mr. Castillo was a native of Guatemala but had lived in Russellville for the past eight years.
    Mr. Castillo is survived by his wife, Aminta Lopez of Guatemala; seven children, Mary Rodriguez, Walter Rodriguez, Aura Rodriguez, Selvin Rodriguez, Marvin Rodriguez, Dania Rodriguez and Marineli Rodriguez; his mother, Berta Alicia Castillo of Guatemala; his father, Fabio Rodriguez of Guatemala; nine brothers and sisters, Fredy Rodriguez, Tadeo Rodriguez, Brenda Rodriguez, Erica Rodriguez, Victor Rodriguez, Danilo Rodriguez, Esvin Rodriguez, Sonia Rodriguez and Jose Maria Rodriguez; and several nieces and nephews.
    Pinkard Funeral Home assisted the family.
    Ronald Dale Gibson, age 39, of Phil Campbell, passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2005.
    Mr. Gibson was preceded in death by his father, Carrell "Buddy" Gibson.
    Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 26, 2005, at Russellville Church of God with Bro. George Sansbury officiating. Interment was in Franklin Memory Gardens.
    Pallbearers were Greg Sparks, Arnet Stanaland, Chris Murray, Mike Albert, Terry James, Wayne Hall, Justin Hall and Steven Hall.
    Mr. Gibson is survived by his wife, Tina Gibson of Phil Campbell; a daughter, Amber Gibson; a son, Micah Gibson; his mother, Katherine Hollman; three brothers, John Gibson and wife Jennifer, of Leakville, Mississippi, Jim Gibson of Leakville, Mississippi, and Guy Gibson of south Alabama; his step-father, Grady Hollman; five nieces, Taylor Ray Gibson, Gabby Gibson, Jessica Gibson, Brittney Gibson and Hanna Gibson; and a nephew, Zachary Gibson.
    Spry Memorial Chapel assisted the family.
    J.M. "Jake" Gills, age 78, a resident of the Care Center of Red Bay and formerly a resident of Hamilton, passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2005, at Red Bay Hospital.
    Born May 31, 1926, in Hodges, Mr. Gills was the son of the late Pet and Lou Ellen Ables Gills. A lifelong resident of Marion County, Mr. Gills was a member of Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church and was a retired railroad worker. He was preceded in death by his wives, Hazel Mae Bayrd Gills Bowling and Betty Miller Gills; and three sisters, Melby Gills, Ludie Ellen Garry and Molly Bell Parker.
    Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 25, 2005, at the Marion County Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tony Wood officiating. Interment was in Old Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
    Mr. Gills is survived by three sons, Jerry Gills, Steve Gills and Rob Gills, all of Hamilton; a daughter, Earlene Baty of Verona, Mississippi; eleven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
    Marion County Funeral Home assisted the family.
    Hal LaVaughn Wiley, age 82, of Russellville, passed away Thursday, February 24, 2005, at Russellville Hospital.
    Mr. Wiley was a native of Morgan County but moved to Franklin County in 1957. He attended First Baptist and Grace Baptist Church. He served as Corporal in the army during World War II. He was retired from BellSouth Telephone Company with 38 years of service. Mr. Wiley was a member of the Rotary Club, Telephone Pioneers of America, and Booster Club of Russellville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Emily Cook Wiley; a sister, Zana Ann Wiley; and a brother, Nelson Wiley.
    Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 26, 2005, at Pinkard Funeral Home chapel in Russellville with Bill Dobbs and Dr. Wayne Ray officiating. Interment was in Franklin Memory Gardens.
    Pallbearers were Homer Grissom, Curtis Grissom, Hal Kirby, Charles Forman, Floyd Tirey and Douglas Reynolds. Honorary bearers were Dr. A.E. Terry, Dr. Wayne Hyatt, Howard Grant, Lanny Norris, Gene Ellison and Rocky Stone.
    Mr. Wiley is survived by his wife, Ruth Thomason Wiley; a son, Hal Scott Wiley and wife Susan, of Huntsville; a daughter, Patti Jo Kimbrough and husband Jerry Glen, of Russellville; and six grandchildren, Hal Thomason Wiley, John Mason Wiley, Sarah Marie Wiley, Tuan Nyugen, John David Kimbrough and Jennifer Ruth Kimbrough.
    Pinkard Funeral Home assisted the family.
