We hope you enjoy this year's Progress section, 'Pride 2005'

By Staff
This week marks the release of the biggest special section the Franklin County Times produces each year. The project in general is called "Progress." This year's theme for Progress is "Pride." We chose that theme because Franklin County takes pride in itself, in our people, our schools, our communities, our businesses, our cities, our industries and health care facilities.
We have a lot to be proud of in Franklin County, and we hope to highlight a few of those things with this year's Progress section.
Every year in late November or December, our sales representatives hit the road selling advertisements in Progress. Around that same time of year, our editorial department swings into high gear, writing stories, taking pictures, and taking on the extra effort required to produce such a large special section.
Simply put, our Progress section wouldn't be possible without our generous advertisers who so graciously support their community newspaper. We thank them for their contributions to this project.
Also, we thank our various business owners, interview subject, and other sources of information who helped make this section possible.
We put a lot of work into our Progress section, because we take pride in our work…and there's our theme again.
We hope you enjoy all our Progress sections that will be released this week.
We begin next week, in a sense, working on next year's Progress section, so the job goes on. But for this year, thanks to all who had a hand in Progress 2005.
