Welch, Swayze

Mr. and Mrs. James Eric Welch Jr. of Gulfport announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Nicole, to Stephen Richard Swayze, son of Stephen David Swayze of Midway and Nancy Nichols Swayze of Vaughn.
The wedding will be Saturday, Nov. 20, 2004, at 4 p.m. at Black Jack Baptist Church in Vaughn.
Miss Welch is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. C. McCary of Meridian, and Erlene Welch of Marion and the late James E "Skeeter" Welch Sr.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Oxford High School and received a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Mississippi.
While attending Ole Miss, she was a member of the Baptist Student Union. Miss Welch is employed by Markow Walker, P.A. of Ridgeland.
Mr. Swayze is the grandson of Margaret Swayze and the late Harris Swayze of Midway, and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Siegel Nichols of Vaughn.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Benton Academy and will graduate with a degree in political science in December 2004 from the University of Mississippi.
While attending Ole Miss, he has been a member of the Baptist Student Union and the Student Art Association.
A reception will be held in the church fellowship hall following the ceremony.
