Meridian man dies in Alabama accident

Two people, including a Meridian man, were killed Thursday in a two-car accident on Alabama Highway 10, three miles east of the Mississippi line.
A news release from the Alabama Department of Public Safety said that Keith D. Gresham, 39, of Meridian, and Billie W. Gilliland, 39, of Butler, Ala., were killed. Both were wearing seatbelts, and both died at the scene.
The news release said that Gresham was the driver of a 1997 Ford F150. It did not say the make of the vehicle that Gilliland was driving.
No other information was available. The news release said the cause of the accident remained under investigation.
