    QUITMAN Graveside services for Myra Marie Kelly Gavin Cox Allen will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at East Quitman Assembly of God with the Rev. James Irby officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Wright's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Allen, 82, of Quitman, died Thursday, March 25, 2004, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
    Survivors include her sons, John Gavin of Lake Park, Ga. and Cliff Gavin of Quitman; a daughter, Ann Gavin Carr of Universal City, Texas; brothers, James Kelly and Willard Kelly both of Needham, Ala., David Kelly and Clyde Kelly, both of Quitman; sisters, Esther Diamond of Butler, Ala., Virginia Todd of Needham, Ala., Katie Jones of Mobile, Ala., Martha Malone and Kathy Kelly, both of Meridian; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her son, Sidney Gavin of Highlands, Texas.
    Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
    Ms. Recar, 91, of Union, died Friday, March 26, 2004, at Alliance Laird Hospital in Union.
    Survivors include her daughter, Judy Rush Beckham of Union; sons, David Lee Rush and his wife, Erma, of Union, Frances Roy Jackson and his wife, Betty, of Collinsville; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
    Pallbearers will be Glenn Jackson, Craig Jackson, Drew Jackson, Steve Gressett, Brian Chisolm, Patrick Page, David Rush and John Rush.
    Visitation will be today from 5:30 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
    PHILADELPHIA Services for Avis Eaves Etheridge will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Nowell-Tilghman Funeral Home Chapel in Louisville. Burial will be in Ellison Ridge Cemetery.
    Mrs. Etheridge, 86, of Louisville, died Friday, March 26, 2004, in Meridian. She was retired employee of the assembly department at Spartus Corp.
    Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
    Services for Ella Oneda Blackwell were held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Dennis Shaw and Ernest Allen officiating. Burial was in Blue Springs Cemetery in Chunky.
    Mrs. Blackwell, 72, of Meridian, died Wednesday, March 24, 2004, in Meridian. She was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church and the WMU at Mt. Vernon.
    Survivors include her husband, Sam Clifford Blackwell of Meridian; a son, Emory "Lee" Littrell and his wife, Cindy, of Meridian; daughters, Dolly Ann Turner and her husband, Kent, of Suqualena; step-children, Clay Blackwell and his wife, Sue, of Florida and Becky Hancock and her husband, Terry, of Tennessee and Karen Dean of Meridian; sisters, Delois Burnett and her husband, Wavell, of Union and Hazel Mabry; brothers, Huey Freeman and his wife, Glenda, and Leaverne Freeman, all of Meehan; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Freeman of Meridian; 12 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Doris, D.L., Ray and Arthur Freeman; a step-son, Craig Blackwell; and a great-grandchild, Jonathan Peebles.
    Pallbearers will be her nephews.
    PHILADELPHIA Graveside services for William Claude May were held Friday at 5 p.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery with the Rev. John Stephens officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery. John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services was in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. May, 82, of Philadelphia, died Thursday, March 25, 2004, in his home.
    Survivors include his daughter, Kathy McDonald of Gretna, La.; sons, H. David May of Philadelphia and Aubrey Glen May of Vicksburg; sisters, Hazel Ingram and Myrtle Powell, both of Florida; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his son, William C. May Jr. and a daughter, Marie Elaine May.
