Sara Whelan Randall and Robert Douglas Morgan were married on Saturday, Aug. 23, 2003, at First Presbyterian Church of Jackson with the Rev. Dr. J. Ligon Duncan III officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Richard Vance Randall of Jackson, and Mr. and Mrs. John Mack Morgan of Richmond, Va.
Nuptial music was provided by Connie Wadsworth, organist; and Nancy Bateman, cellist.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a gown of white Italian Mikado with beaded bands of Swaroviski crystals, bullion and silver beads framed the strapless neckline and dropped waistline. The ball gown skirt with chapel-length train was accented with double inverted box pleats at both the front and back of the skirt.
Her chapel-length veil of silk illusion fell from a band of crystals and silver beads. Tucked into her bouquet was a lace handkerchief carried by her paternal grandmother, mother and aunts at their weddings.
Attending her sister as maid of honor was Elizabeth Mead Randall. Laura Stroble Wesson was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kimberly Allen Elliott, Kecia Kitchens Kirk, Emily Johnson McClain, Shannon Rogers Manning, Jennifer Louise Morgan, sister of the bridegroom, Lori Gordon Mosley, Sara Catharine Randall, cousin of the bride, Cecilia Cannada Rutledge, Casey Anne Traxler and Elizabeth Perry Upchurch.
Honorary bridesmaids were Annette Conlon Barnes, cousin of the bride, and Katherine Bond Morgan, sister-in-law of the bridegroom.
Raymond Ward Morgan served his brother as best man. Groomsmen were Paul Dillard Dees, Michael Andrew Dunavent, Charles Thomas Hudson, Matthew Forrest Powell, Richard Wilson Randall, cousin of the bride, Logan Shane Tompkins and Bradley Jay Wilson.
Presiding at the registry was Cynthia Kingrea Iredale. Program attendants were Massey Scott Bowie, Camille Jacqueline Cannada, Katherine McLaurin Cox, Toy Elizabeth Gathings and Mary Margaret Myers.
A reception was held at Fairview.
On the eve of the wedding, the bridegroom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Capital Club.
Following a trip to San Francisco and Napa Valley, the couple resides in Jackson.
