50th anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Lindy Tisdale were honored with a 50th wedding anniversary reception on Sunday Dec. 7, 2003, at Union Station. The reception was hosted by their son and daughter-in-law, David and Lela Tisdale, and their grandson, Justin. The couple was married on Dec. 12, 1953, at Four Square Church in Meridian. Mrs. Tisdale is the former Jewel I. Thompson. Mr. Tisdale is retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad. They were honored with a trip to the Opryland Hotel in Nashville, Tenn.
25th anniversary
Leroy and Mary Shirley Crouch celebrated their 25th anniversary with their family. The Crouchs were married Feb. 10, 1979, at Concord Methodist Church in Chunky. Mr. Crouch is retired from BellSouth and Mrs. Crouch is retired from La-Z-Boy.
25th anniversary
Arthur and Mary Jean Weaver celebrated their 25th anniversary on Feb. 4, 2004, at home with their five children and 10 grandchildren. The couple are expecting two more grandchildren soon. The Weavers were married in 1979 at Crescent Hill Church.
