Services for Nina Parker Kent will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at New Hope Baptist Church with the Revs. Jimmy Sanders and Chris Winkleman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Kent, 77, of Meridian, died Saturday, Jan. 10, 2004, at Riley Hospital. She was retired from Winn Dixie. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her daughter, Cathy Feinstein and her husband, Fred; sons, Mike Parker and his wife, Charlotte, all of Meridian, Carey Parker and his wife, Suzanne, of Centerhill; a step-son, Gordon Kent and his wife, Bessie, of Meridian; grandsons, Michael Parker of Memphis, Tenn., and Jeremy Parker of Centerhill; granddaughters, Dana Marshall of Meridian, Susan Burroughs of Hattiesburg and Julie Martin of Birmingham, Ala.; great-grandchildren, Parker Grace Burroughs, Olivia Marshall, and Camryn Laine Burroughs; sisters, Mary Maude Taylor and Katie Lou Dempsey and a brother, Willie Cockrell, all of Louisville and a special friend, Elsie Harbour.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Henry Cockrell Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Cockrell; her husband, Oscar Kent; brothers, Homer Cockrell, John H. Cockrell Jr. and Claude Cockrell; a sister, Lillian C. Parker and a step-daughter, Martha Koch.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home and 30 minutes prior to the service Tuesday.

Services for Madie Williams will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Sunlight Baptist Church with the Rev. Myron Hairston officiating. Burial will be in Okatibee Baptist Church Cemetery. Enterprise Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Williams, 79, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2004, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Survivors include her sons, Jerry Williams, Tony Williams, both of Cincinnati, Billy Williams and Darrell Williams, both of Clarksdale; daughters, Bertha Brown, Sandra Bolden and Betty Hudson, all of Dallas; brothers, Lincoln Brookins, James Brookins, Howard Brookins and John Brookins, all of San Diego; sisters, Katy Brookins of Detroit, Barbara Robinson of Miami, and Mary Pearl Smith of West Helena, Ark.; 46 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Williams.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

ARCOLA, Texas Services for Betty Lou Bollar Tucker will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Meridian. Burial will be in McElroy Cemetery in Cuba, Ala. All People Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Tucker, 76, of Arcola, formerly of Meridian, died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2004, in her home.
Survivors include her children, Belinda Nixon and her husband, Donald, Wilson Tucker and his wife, Shirley and Beverly Jackson; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a half-sister, Laura Johnson and a god-daughter and several other family members and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday beginning at 11 a.m. until service time at the church.
Arrangements were incomplete at Barham Funeral Home for Jewel R. Talbert, 78, of Meridian, who died Sunday, Jan. 11, 2004, at Riley Hospital.
