Dear Santa: Christmas letters from kindergarten

By Staff
special to The Star
Dec. 18, 2003
The kindergarten teachers at Northeast Elementary School recently asked students to write a letter to Santa Claus as part of a class project. The students compiled interesting wish lists.
The kindergarten teachers are Amanda Williamson, Mary Jones and Carla Egbert. Here's a look at what their students want this Christmas.
Dear Santa Claus,
All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth and an Easy Bake Oven, so I can bake you and Mrs. Claus a cake!
Dalexis Miller, 5
Dear Santa Claus,
I live in Mississippi. I like your reindeer and how they can fly. Please bring me a strawberry shortcake house. Merry Christmas Santa.
Kylie Lynn Williams, 5

I want a Hot Wheel set, the "Jurassic Park" movie and I want a transformer and a castle. Also I want a big Lego set and an Army set.
P.S. I love you.

Dear Santa,
My name is Andrea. I have been a good girl this year. I have a sister named Ashley. She has been good, too. For Christmas I would like a trampoline, a Barbie, new movies, tennis shoes, pencils, a guitar, a Spider-man suit and a Jeep. Can you bring Ashley a race car set and a Spider-man suit, too. I hope you, Mrs. Claus and all the reindeer have a wonderful Christmas!
Andrea Mazingo, 5
Dear Santa Claus,
My name is Damien Jackson, I live in an apartment complex in Marion. I have one brother named Jarvis and a sister name Jasmine. Can your reindeer really fly high like on television? I would like to have a motorcycle, a remote control car, handcuffs, a fire-fighter hat, a policeman and a police officer's motorcycle. Merry Christmas Santa Claus!
Damien Jackson, 6
Dear Santa Claus,
I love to make-up my own songs and sing them. My family is a really big family. I have two aunts and four uncles. My house is really nice and neat and there are lots of different animals in the environment that I live in.
Santa, are your elves still cute and does Mrs. Claus still have beautiful gray hair? Does Rudolph still have that nose that shines so bright? Santa, when will I get to to visit the North Pole? Santa, I would like to receive a baby doll, a bike and a baby stroller.
Tyheeja Jackson, 5
Dear Santa Claus,
My name is Chris Baker. How do reindeer fly? What kind of cookies do you want? What reindeer ate my cookies last year? I want a red pet lizard, a water globe for mommy and daddy and a Barbie for my sister. Merry Christmas!
Chris Baker, 5
Dear Santa Claus,
I am 6 years old. I am in kindergarten. My teacher's name is Mrs. Jones. Do you really have candy canes on the walkway to where you sit in your chair? You are very sweet. I love your reindeer because they are beautiful. There are seven more days until Christmas. Please bring me a scooter and a DVD player and DVDs a lot of DVDs. Merry Christmas to you and to all.
Lexie Harper, 6
Dear Santa Claus,
I live on Ponta Hills Road in a red brick house. I don't have a sister or brother yet, but I have a black lab named Bama. I want a ring and a watch like my mommy's for Christmas. Santa, I want to know if it's cold at the North Pole and if you are making many dolls? I hope you have a merry Christmas.
Mckenzie Jenkins, 6
Dear Santa Claus,
I am 5 years old. I attend Northeast Elementary kindergarten. I like school. My brother picks me up everyday after school and we have fun. We have a big Christmas tree and mama lets me help put the decorations on it. We also have a little ladder in front of it. Daddy said you can climb up it if you need to. Why does Mrs. Claus never come with you? You could get finished quicker if you work together.
Tyler Cooks, 5
Dear Santa Claus,
Hello Santa, my name is Gabby. I am about to be 6 years old on Dec. 18. I like your elves because I have seen them making toys on television. I heard the song about Rudolph and I like it. I would like some skating shoes. Can your please read my list I mailed you?

I live with my mama and baby sister, Katie. I like to play with basketballs, skating, reading and putting puzzles together. What do your elves eat? Do they give presents to put on the sleigh? I need a Barbie jeep, Barbie dolls, Dora the Explorer, SpongeBob SquarePants, checkers and a puppy. I wish to say merry Christmas to your elves and the North Pole.
