Services for Connie Rubin Smith will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Russell officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mr. Smith, 88, of Meridian, died Monday, Dec. 15, 2003, at Rush Foundation Hospital. He was retired from Southern Railroad and a member of Oakland Heights Baptist Church for more than 44 years.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Ethel Vegh Smith; children, Evelyn Massey, Mary Helen Harrison, Haskel Smith and his wife, Robin, and Hazel Brumfield and her husband, Jim; grandchildren, Jimbo Harrison, Brian Massey, Angie Foley, Chris Massey, Joshua Smith, Misty Dawn Elison and Dan Moody; step-grandchildren, Jesse Fason, Colby Fason and Charlie Brumfield; great-grandchildren, Gray Harrison, Leslee Kate Massey, Cage Massey, Erin Foley, Candace Foley and Nathan Foley and Baleigh Moody; a brother, Louis Smith of Poplarville; a sister, Evelyn Casey of Gulfport; two brothers-in-law, Steve Vegh Jr. and W.A. Webre of New Orleans; sisters-in-law, Joyce Owens, Lydia Webre of New Orleans, Mary Dell Smith of Poplarville, Hattie Smith of Alexandria, La., Laura Smith of Mobile, Ala., and Dot Smith of Poplarville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Madie Smith of Derby; brothers, Homer, Dallas, Elmer, Henry and Edsel Smith; a sister, Helen Stines Ezell; and a granddaughter, Kimberly Smith.
Memorials may be made to Oakland Heights Baptist Church Building Fund.
Pallbearers will be Brian Massey, Chris Massey, Dan Moody, Brad Foley, Haskel Smith and Jimbo Harrison.
Honorary pallbearers will be Neville Crenshaw, David Buntyn, Glenn Gaubert, Leo Massey, Jim Brumfield and Charlie Boswell.
Visitation will be Wednesday 7 p.m.-8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

PHILADELPHIA Services for William Edgar Marshall will be held today at 11 a.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Michael Wells officiating. Burial will be in Sandtown Cemetery in Philadelphia.
Mr. Marshall, 89, of Philadelphia, died Monday, Dec. 15, 2003, at Neshoba County Nursing Home in Philadelphia. He was born in Kemper County and made his home in Neshoba County for most of his life. He was a member of Sardis Baptist Church. He was a retired farmer and grocery store owner.
Survivors include his wife, Johnnie Marshall of Philadelphia; a daughter, Carolyn McCraney and her husband, James Burnard, of Chatsworth, Ga.; a son, Ted Marshall and his wife, Lynn, of Philadelphia; granddaughters, Johnna Bingham of Chatsworth and Christie Mitchell of Dalton, Ga.; a grandson, Gabe Marshall of Philadelphia; great-grandchildren, Caroline Mitchell, Georgeanne Mitchell and Will Mitchell, all of Dalton; sisters, Lora Smith of DeKalb, Freddie Barnett of Newton and Miriam Hardy of Philadelphia.

Graveside services for Mary Louise Randall will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Magnolia Cemetery with the Rev. Jerry Johnson officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Randall, 92, of Meridian, died Saturday, Dec. 13, 2003, at Guardian Angel Hospice.
Survivors include her son, Therman Luther Randall; grandchildren, James D. Randall of Toomsuba, Linda L. Parker of Causeyville, Patricia A. Basham and Ronald P. Randall, both of Meridian; 13 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Randall Sr.; and a son, Edward Earl Randall.
Pallbearers will be Fred B. Parker, Richard Parker and Johnny Kilgore.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Graveside services for Robert Clyde Boatner will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Jones Chapel Church of God Cemetery with the Revs. Ron Leonard and Roy Dabbs officiating. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Boatner, 74, of Meridian, died Monday, Dec. 15, 2003, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a lifelong resident of Meridian and served nine years in the U.S. Navy. He served two tours on the USS Princeton during the Korean Conflict. He was retired from civil service at Naval Air Station Meridian.
Survivors include sons, Barry Boatner and his wife, Angie, of Meridian and Roger Boatner and his wife, Beth, of Gadsden, Ala.; four grandchildren, Clark Boatner, Dillion Boatner, Nolan Boatner and Sydney Boatner; sisters, Evelyn McDaniel of Collinsville and Jean Russell of Meridian; brothers, John Boatner and Bobby "Mac" Boatner, both of the Martin Community; his former wife, Chesterine Boatner of Meridian; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James S. and Edith Boatner; his mother, Mattie Boatner; brothers, Sidney Boatner and L.B. Boatner; and a sister, Gladys Hughes.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
