    Retired security guard
    Graveside services for Charles Chadwell will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Hester Cemetery with the Revs. Dr. Thad Moore and Thomas Broadhead officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Chadwell, 80, of Meridian, died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2003, at Rush Foundation Hospital. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a retired security guard at Atlas Roofing. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association, the Retired Enlisted Association and Poplar Springs Baptist Church.
    Survivors include his wife, Pauline Dallas Chadwell of Meridian; a son, Wayne Chadwell of Lewisville, Texas; daughters, Belinda Brown and her husband, Gene, of Toxie, Ala., and Rhodanna Chadwell Boyles and her husband, Jeff, of Mt. Airy, N.C.; grandchildren, Heather Gayle Brown and April Lynne Brown; a brother, Henry Chadwell and his wife, Nell, of Laurel; and several nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Claudia Chadwell; a sister, Chlotilde Tilman Moss; and her husband, Opie.
    Visitation will be Thursday 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
    PHILADELPHIA Services for Joan Faye Davis will be held today at 2 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Dwight Faulkenberry officiating. Burial will be in Cedarlawn Cemetery in Philadelphia.
    Mrs. Davis, 60, of Warner Robins, Ga., died Friday, Dec. 5, 2003, in her home. She was a native of New Hampshire and lived in Concord, Vt., for many years. She moved to Mississippi in 1961 where she made her home until two years ago when she moved back to Warner Robins. She was a member of East Philadelphia Baptist Church.
    Survivors include her daughter, Julie Neese of Warner Robins; sons, Keith Weathers and Gerald M. Weathers, both of Philadelphia; brothers, Ronald Hill of Danville, Vt., and Robert Hill of Miles Pond, Vt.; her mother, Hazel Hill of St. Johnsbury, Vt.; six grandchildren, Robert "Bobby" Hall Jr., Isley Weathers Phillips, Austin Weathers, Justin Weathers, Cody Weathers and Josh Gray; and three great-grandchildren, Timothy James Hall, Matthew Joseph Hall and Nicholas Zandon Phillips.

    Graveside services for Lula B. "Ludie" Majors will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Magnolia Cemetery with the Revs. Thomas Broadhead and Dr. Thad Moore officiating. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Majors of Meridian, died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2003, at Beverly Health Care Center. She was the retired owner of Ludie's and Lamp Post Restaurants.
    Survivors include her daughters, Audie Belle Martin and her husband, E.H., of Utica, Millie Jones and her husband, George, of Meridian and Nanci Rauls and her husband, W.F., of Leachville, Ark.; grandchildren, Steve Hudson Martin of Utica, Scott Lamar McQuaig and his wife, Joy, of Meridian, Melanie McQuaig Mann and her husband, Bruce, of Brandon, Todd Collins Monette and his wife, Terri, of League City, Texas, and Wilmington, Del., Michelle McQuaig Boyd and her husband, Eric, of Brookhaven, Marcarol Martin Ray of Utica and Fileesha Brown Chisolm and her her husband, Toby, of Collinsville; and 14 great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Lamar Majors; and a grandson, Stacy Majors Martin.
    Visitation will be Thursday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
    KOSCIUSKO Services for Myrtle Raye Brown Burton will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Newton with the Rev. George Smith Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Myricks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Burton, 50, of Newton, died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2003, in Newton. She was the area agency on aging director of the East Central Planning and Development District.
    Survivors include her husband, William Burton; daughters, Valencia Roshan and Erin MacKenzie Burton; a sister, Imogene January; and one grandson.
    Visitation will be be today 4 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home and Thursday 8 a.m. until service time at the church.
    Self-employed roofer
    Graveside services for Jack C. Boyette Sr. will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Cokers Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Jesse Long officiating. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Boyette, 69, of Meridian, died Monday, Dec. 8, 2003, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Cokers Chapel United Methodist Church. He worked for Flintkote and Owens Corning and was later a self-employed roofer.
    Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Webb Boyette of Meridian; children, Scott Boyette and his wife, Dianne, of Shreveport, La., Kathy Warren and her husband, Ronnie, and Jack Boyette Jr. and his wife, Ronda, all of Meridian; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild; his mother, Hettie Boyette of Meridian; a brother, William "Bud" Boyette and his wife, Mary Edna, of Indiana; sisters, Jane Covington and her husband, Billy, of Meridian, Barbara Ann Strahan and her husband, Charles, of Pascagoula and Katherine Rutledge of Gautier; and several nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his father, Ebb Boyette; and a brother, Everette Steve Boyette.
    Memorials may be made to Cokers Chapel United Methodist Church, 3042 Jeff Davis School Road, Meridian, MS 39305.
    Pallbearers will be Jerry Webb, Buddy Webb, Larry Webb, James Parten, Jack Coker, Raymon Brewster and Ross Wingo.
    Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

    SEBASTOPOL Services for Arthur D. Thomas Sr. will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Pearl River Facility Building with Travis Willis officiating. Burial will in Green Hill Methodist Church Cemetery in Neshoba County. Milling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Thomas, 64, of Philadelphia, died, Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2003, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
