    Obituaries for Sunday, Nov. 2, 2003

    PHILADELPHIA Services for Wes Marble will be held today at 2 p.m. at New County Line Baptist Church with the Revs. Doyle Moore and Dudley Winstead officiating. Burial will be in New County Line Cemetery in Edinburg. McClain-Hays Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Marble, 74, of Edinburg, died Saturday, Nov. 1, 2003, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian. He was employed as a sheet metal mechanic with McLain Plumbing and Electrical. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
    Survivors include his wife, Sammie Marble of Edinburg; two daughters, Barbara Joyce Mills of Carthage and Linda Darnell Marble of Jackson; four sons, Ralph Marble of Madden, Thomas Marble and Robert Earl Marble, both of Carthage, and Larry Dale Marble of Edinburg; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mozelle Rhodes of Jackson.
    Services for Winnie H. Brown will be held today at 2:30 p.m. at Highland Baptist Church with the Rev. Carl White officiating. Burial will be in Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery in Jasper County. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Brown, 81, of Meridian died Friday, Oct. 31, 2003, at Heartfelt Hospice. She was a 50-year member of Highland Baptist Church.
    Survivors include three daughters, Mary Merriman of Meridian, Betty Brown Richardson of Tuscaloosa, Ala., and Anne Brown Simmons, of McDonough, Ga.; eight grandchildren, Michael Brown Simmons of Huber Heights, Ohio, Julie Katherine Black of Macon, Ga., Eric Randle Simmons of Dalton, Ga., Cheri Anne Simmons of McDonough, Ga., Kelley Anne McMillan and Jennifer Lee Richardson, both of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Laura Deanne Smith of Asheville, N.C., and Mathew David Merriman of Charleston, S.C.; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
    The family requests memorials be made to the music ministry of Highland Baptist Church.
    Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.
    YORK, Ala. Memorial services for Karl Heinz Steinborn will be held today at 3 p.m. at York Baptist Church with the Rev. Leon Ballard officiating. Bumpers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Steinborn, 74, of York, died Friday, Oct. 31, 2003, at Heartfelt Hospice in Meridian, Miss.
    Survivors include a son, Tony Steinborn of Bremer, Ga.; and a daughter, Heidi S. Howard of Marietta, Ga.
    Services for Mona Connell Trussell Gilder will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Otis Seal officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
    Mrs. Gilder, 90, of Meridian, died Friday, Oct. 31, 2003, at Beverly HealthCare-Broadmoor. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church.
    Survivors include a son, Algie Franklin Trussell Jr., of Sierra Madre, Calif.; a daughter, Debbie Trussell Hunter and her husband, Lawrence, of Meridian; grandchildren, Danette Parker Crowe, of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Lisa Parker Griffin of Vibor, Texas, Tracy Parker Tillman of Panama City, Fla., Sheryl Trussell Shwetz of Alverne, Calif., Julie Trussell Adams of Apple Valley, Calif., Suzanne Trussell Ogstad of Scottsdale, Ariz., Nickey Makamson of Indianola, and Claire Makamson Buchanan of Collinsville; 15 great-grandchildren; a brother, Frank Harold Connell and his wife, Norma, of Louisville, Ky.; a brother-in-law, Allen Clearman of Meridian; a sister-in-law, Eileen Wilson of Atlanta; a special niece, Sharon Clearman Seal of Meridian; and several other nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, George Price Connell and Laura Graham Connell; her husband, Algie Franklin Trussell Sr.; a daughter, Julia Ann Trussell Parker; two brothers, George Lenoah Connell and Robert Jefferson Connell; and a sister, Clara Gene Connell Clearman.
    The family requests memorials be made to the Diabetes Association.
    Pallbearers will be Michael Makamson, Wayne Buchanan, Parker Wilson, Len Clearman, Rob Seal, Al Seal, and Dr. Otis A. Seal.
    Honorary pallbearers will be Allen Clearman, John Hart, Billy Stubbs and C.W. Makamson.
    Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
    Services for Dennis Anthony Lenoir will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Central United Methodist Church with the Revs. Jimmy Harrison and Jason Harms officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Lenoir, 44, of Meridian, died Friday, Oct. 31, 2003, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Central United Methodist Church. He had done a lot of work for Habitat for Humanity. He was a graduate of Meridian High School, Meridian Community College, and Mississippi State University. He donated a lot of his time cooking for many different organizations.
    Survivors include his wife, Carol Wolfe Lenoir, of Meridian; two daughters, Jessica Lynn Lenoir and Kennedy Alexandra Lenoir, both of Meridian; a son, Dennis Anthony Lenoir, II of Meridian; his mother, June Lenoir of Gulfport; his father, Clyde Lenoir of Lake Eddins; a brother, Joey Lenoir and his wife, Julie, of Birmingham, Ala.; his grandmother, Mrs. A.J. Santangelo of Jackson; and his mother- and father-in-law, Rusty and Louis Wolfe of Meridian.
    He was preceded in death by a brother, Butch Lenoir.
    The family requests memorials be made to the Central United Methodist Church Building Fund or Habitat for Humanity.
    Pallbearers will be Brad Huff, Berry Ward, Leslie Rush, Mark Keith, Daryl Smith, Joel Payne, Randy Hooper, Terry Plummer, Robert Carlisle, Byron Davidson, Elmo Campbell, Adrian Cole, John McElroy, Jeff Deavours, Ken Puzak, Mevel Rasberry and Doug DeWeese.
    Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
    YORK, Ala. Graveside services for Betty Ross Green will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Myrtlewood Cemetery with the Rev. Rick Gosnell officiating. Burial will be in Myrtlewood Cemetery in Livingston with Bumpers Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Green, 72, of Livingston, died Saturday, Nov. 1, 2003, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, Miss. She was the First Lady of Livingston University from 1973-1993.
    Survivors include her husband, Asa Green of Livingston; a son, Steven Ross of Memphis, Tenn.; two grandchildren, John William Ross and Kerri Ross, both of Nashville, Tenn.; a brother, James Zirkelbach of Anderson, Ind.; two sisters, Pauline Day and Dorothy Ramsey, both of Anderson.
    The family requests memorials be made to Jeff Anderson Regional Cancer Center, the American Diabetes Association, the Presbyterian Childrens Home or the Alabama Baptist Childrens Home.
    Pallbearers will be Tommy Bryan, David Gosselin, Mike Graham, David Jones, Sam McCorkle, Don Nixon, Dee Outlaw and Rick Reedy.
    Honorary pallbearers will be C. Add Boyd, Pierce Boyd, Glen Bridges, John Bryan, Aubrey Ellis, Dr. Richard Holland, Jim King, Lewis McLean, Dr. James Pate, Dr. Ed Roach, Charles Scott, Paul Stewart, William B. Stuart and Winton Wise.
    Visitation will be Monday from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
