Ford, Scharmen

Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie K. Ford of Destin, Fla., announce the engagement of their daughter, Erin Nicole, to Dustin Daniel Scharmen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Guy P. Scharmen.
The wedding will be Saturday, Jan. 3, 2004, at 6 p.m. at Destin United Methodist Church.
Miss Ford is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don R. Brown, and Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie E. Ford, all of Meridian.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Lamar High School and received an associate's degree in from Okaloosa Community College where she was listed on the Dean's List. She attended Mississippi State University and is a Chi Omega alumni. She is attending the University of West Florida majoring in public relations.
Miss Ford is employed by AmSouth Bank.
Mr. Scharmen is the grandson of Louis Thayer of Richmond, Va., and the late Mrs. Thayer, and Mrs. Randal Scharmen of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., and the late Mr. Scharmen.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Fort Walton Beach High School and received an associate's degree from Okaloosa Community College where he was a Dean's List scholar. The bridegroom-elect received an honorable discharge after serving five years in the U.S. Marine Corps and is now attending the University of West Florida.
He is employed as a computer data specialist with MTI.
