Reed, Bazyari

Lacy Simine Bazyari became the bride of Russell Joseph Reed in an afternoon ceremony on Saturday, May 17, 2003, at Midway Baptist Church in Meridian. The Rev. William B. Webb officiated at the ceremony.
Parents of the couple are Dr. and Mrs. Habib Bazyari of Meridian and Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Lyle Reed of Natchez.
Grandparents of the bride are the late Burl and Doris Hunter of Philadelphia and Malek Bazyari and the late Sattier Bazyari of Shiraz, Iran.
The bridegroom is the grandson of Azoline Rhodes of El Dorado, Ark., the late Ralph Joe Rhodes, Lou Reed or Opelousas, La., and the late Russell Reed.
Nuptial music was provided by Emily Sandberg of Jackson, pianist; and LaDawn James of Meridian, vocalist.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a gown featuring a bateau neckline with a heavily beaded bodice accented by a Basque waistline. The gown fell into a A-line skirt with a floral embroidery organza overlay that swept into a chapel-length train. Her elbow-length veil of white silk illusion was edged in satin piping, accented with seed pearls and held in place with a beaded comb.
Soraya Weldon, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Amy Adcock of Macon, Jaycee Butler of Meridian, Alison O'Neal of Lucedale, Shannon Reed and Jennifer Tuccio, both of Brandon and sisters of the bridegroom, Kattie Stewart of Memphis, Charlotte Thomas of Asheville, N.C., and Jill Tolbert of Pompano Beach, Fla.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man. Groomsmen were Reza Bazyari of Quitman, brother of the bride, Michael Begonia of Brandon, Gaston Carby of Baton Rouge, La., Chris Heard and Phillips Jenkins, both of Jackson, Doug Jordan of Natchez, Scott Nelson of Memphis, Gerrit Steckler of Tuscaloosa, Ala.,
Ushers were Jon Hungerford of Jackson and Lawrence Welden of Meridian.
Reagan Welden, niece of the bride, was flower girl. Cheryl Bazyari served as the bride's proxy.
Following the ceremony, a reception was hosted by the bride's parents in the church fellowship hall.
On the eve of the wedding, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Reed hosted a rehearsal dinner at Crescent City Grill.
On the day before the wedding, a bridesmaids luncheon was held at Caf Latte by Margaret Ann Hunter and Martha Lynn Hunts, aunts of the bride.
After a wedding trip to St. Lucia, the couple resides in Brandon.
