DEKALB Services for Bertha Stephens were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at New Hope United Methodist Church with the Revs. Dr. Owen Gordon and Sam Hull officiating. Burial was in New Hope Cemetery. Stephens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Stephens, 85, of DeKalb, died Thursday, Aug. 14, 2003, at Mississippi Care Center in DeKalb.
Survivors include her daughter, Shirley Waddell and her husband, Keith, of New Albany; sons, Tommy Stephens and his wife, Katha, of Daleville and Paul Stephens and his wife, Jackie, of DeKalb; brothers, Tommy Baty of Aberdeen and J.B. Baty of York, Ala.; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Stephens Jr.
Memorials may be made to New Hope United Methodist Church.

GILBERTOWN, Ala. Services for Martha Mae Bell Donald Jenkins will be held today at 11 a.m. at Gilbertown Assembly of God. Burial will be in Barrytown Cemetery in Gilbertown.
Mrs. Jenkins, 84, of Gilbertown, died Friday, Aug. 15, 2003, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Survivors include her son, R.J. Jenkins and his wife, Shirley, of Gilbertown; brothers, Claude Donald of Vinegar Bend; Emmett Busby of Needham; and Ellis Busby of Morton, Miss.; her sister, Bessie Jordan of Theodore; four grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Services for Marilyn Sue Jones will be held today at 2 p.m. at Carmel Baptist Church with the Revs. Davey Wilkinson and Bill Webb officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Jones, 61, of Enterprise, died Thursday, Aug. 14, 2003, in her home. She was a homemaker and retired from Peavey Electronics.
Survivors include her daughters, Sherri Napp and her husband, Bobby, of Enterprise and Donna Hauptman and her husband, Andy, of Madison; a son, Darin Jones of Enterprise; five grandchildren, Daniel Napp, Josh Napp, Andrew Napp, Stormy Hauptman, and Cameron Hauptman; sisters, Faye Hollingsworth and JoAnn Reese, both of Meridian; brothers, DeMar Wilkinson and Doyce Wilkinson, both of Mobile, Ala.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Josie Wilkinson and D.D. Wilkinson and her sister, Mary Graham.
Memorials may be made to Carmel Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Buster Phillips, David Wilkinson, Joe Wilkinson, John Tester, Billy Wilkinson and Larry Whitehead. Honorary pallbearers will be her nephews, Clay Jones, Leslie Reese, Wade Wilkinson and Jason Roberson.
Visitation will be today from noon-1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Retired parts salesman
Services for Darrel Frank Linton will be held today at 2:30 p.m. at Spring Hill Methodist Church with the Rev. Paul Raley officiating. Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery with Barham Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Linton, 63, of Meridian, died Friday, Aug. 15, 2003, at Guardian Angel Hospice Inc.
Survivors include his son, Wyndell Gossett, and his mother, Dessie Avera Linton, both of Atlanta; two sisters, Mavis Linton Watson and her husband, Bob, of Fort Myers, Fla.; and Beth Linton Wade and her husband, Ted, of Atlanta; two brothers, Bernice Ray Linton Sr. and his wife, Sarah, and Avil Linton and his wife, Judy, all of Meridian; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Chester Linton.
Visitation will be today one hour prior to the service at the church.
Graveside services for Donald Gary Hodges Jr. will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Chunky Cemetery. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Hodges, 22, of Chunky, died Friday, Aug. 15, 2003.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Hodges, his daughter, Breanna Hodges, his son, Jonathan Hodges, his mother, Sandra Jenkins and her husband, Herbert, his father, Donald Hodges Jr., three brothers, Melvin Hodges, Herbie Jenkins and Steven Hodges, and two sisters, Jennifer Rainer and Andrea Jenkins.
