Retired teacher
Services for Ruth Carr Vincent will be held today at 3 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. F. William Price officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Vincent, 85, of Meridian, died Thursday, July 17, 2003, at Riley Hospital. She was a long-standing member of Poplar Springs Drive United Methodist Church, a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Walter Arno Vincent of Meridian; her children, Pamela Fowlkes and her husband, Robert, of Monroe, La., and Daphne Lancaster and her husband, Glenn, of Meridian; her grandchildren, Natalie Miller Land and her husband, Broughton, Lauren Miller, David Miller, Bruce Warner and his wife, Wendy, Chrissy Thomas and her husband, Jonathan; her great-grandchildren, Garrison Land, Cody Butler, Alicia Butler, and J.T. Thomas; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Carmin Wahrendorff; and her parents, Allie Porter Carr and Robert Miller Carr.
The family requests memorials be made to: Scholarship Fund, Ruth &Arno Vincent, University of Southern Mississippi, or to East Central Community College in Decatur.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Wahrendorff, Jeff Fountain, Ovid Vickers, Denver Bracken, James Grant, and Sonny Vincent. Honorary pallbearers will be her Sunday School Class.
Visitation will begin two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
Services for Danny Lee Lewis were held Wednesday at James F. Webb Funeral Home.
Mr. Lewis, 51, of Meridian, died Monday, July 14, 2003.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Lewis; two daughters, Anna Tindle and Calli Tindle; and a son, John Lewis.

MOSELLE Services for Martin L. Brashier will be held today at 3 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Ralph Stribling and Flatt Clark officiating. Burial will be in Walters Cemetery.
Mr. Brashier, 68, of Laurel, died Thursday, July 17, 2003, at his home. He was a retired district manager for American General Life and Accident Insurance Co.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Faye Brashier; a son, Eddie Brashier; and three daughters, Kathy Brashier, Jacqueline Shows and Tina Brashier, all of Laurel; a brother, Tommy Brashier of Oak Grove; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Nancy Brashier.
Visitation will begin two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
Oil rig supervisor
QUITMAN Services for Daniel Wayne Martin will be held today at 3 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Enterprise with the Revs. Richard Cauthern, Billy Brumfield and Clay Chancelor officiating. Burial will be in the Martin Family Cemetery in Clarke County. Wright's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Martin, 43, of Enterprise, died Tuesday, July 15, 2003, in Orange, Texas. Survivors include a son, Dillon Mack Martin; and a daughter, Misty Danielle Martin, both of of Enterprise; his parents, Mack and Virginia Martin of Quitman; four sisters, Teresa Smith, Tammy Mathis, and Tina Harbour, all of Quitman and Traci Rosales of Enterprise; his maternal grandmother, Auline Priester of Quitman; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Clifton and Alma Martin; and his maternal grandfather, Willie Priester.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
