PALMETTO, Fla. Services for C. V. Newman were held Saturday, June 14, 2003, at Kicliter Funeral Home in Palmetto with the Rev. Norman Bassett officiating. Burial was in Gillette Cemetery.
Mr. Newman, 82, of Palmetto, died Tuesday, June 10, 2003 at his home. Mr. Newman was born in Meridian, Miss. and moved to Manatee County from Summerville, S. C., in 2002. He was a Seventh Day Adventist.
Survivors include his wife, Mavis Eloise Newman; two sisters, Dorothy Dooly of Meridian, Miss.; and Doris Adams of Jackson, Miss.

Retired diesel mechanic
DEKALB Services for Roy T. Burroughs were held Monday at 10 a.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Steve Lampkin and Randy Caldwell officiating. Burial was in Herbert Cemetery in Neshoba County.
Mr. Burroughs, 68, of Lynville, died Friday, June 13, 2003, in Meridian.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Burroughs of Lynville; daughters, Robin Felter of the House Community, Donna Googe of Meridian and Tammy Allhoff of Hattiesburg; a son, Tommy Burroughs of Meridian; brothers, Leonard Burroughs of DeKalb and Edward Burroughs of Philadelphia; a sister, Betty Burroughs of Wahalak; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marjorie Nell Burroughs; and a great-granddaughter, Kendal Felter.
Computer industry
Services for H. Glen Harmon will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
Mr. Harmon, 63, of Lawrenceville, Ga., died Friday, June 20, 2003 at Gwinett Medical Center. He was a graduate of Mississippi State University with a degree in electrical engineering; he earned a master's degree in business administration from Alabama A &M. Mr. Harmon spent most of his career in the computer industry.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Jane Germany Harmon, of Lawrenceville, Ga.; a son, Mark Harmon of Thomasville, Ga.; and a sister, Janice Eatman of Meridian.
The family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
Visitation will be Sunday from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Arrangements were incomplete at Clark's Memorial Funeral Home for Earline Pearson, 87, of Meridian, who died Thursday, June 19, 2003, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Arrangements were incomplete at Clark's Memorial Funeral Home for Lela Ward, 88, of Meridian, who died Thursday, June 19, 2003, at Guardian Angel Hospice.
