Jackson, Mitchell

Amanda Joyce Mitchell and Michael Brent Jackson, both of Martin, were married Saturday, Aug. 17, 2002, at Pine Grove Church in Martin, with the Rev. Curtis Dyer officiating.
Parents of the couple are Linda Martin of Meridian, and Brent and Donna Jackson of Martin.
Grandmother of the bride is Arlene Williamson Baker of Martin.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are the late Burkett and Bettye Jo Herrington of Martin, and the late Joseph and Christine Jackson of Meridian.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Ann Barnett, vocalist and pianist; Kenny Pogue and Shannon Stewart, vocalists.
The bride was given in marriage by her uncle, Oliver Howard.
She wore a white satin designer gown with an A-line tank bodice with embroidered sequins on the beaded bodice and banded floor-length skirt. Her elbow-length veil fell from a pearl tiara detailed in an ivy pattern. She carried a fresh flower bouquet of white lilies.
Ashley Jackson of Martin, sister of the bridegroom, served as maid of honor.
Other attendants were Jacqui Long of Panama City, Fla. Caroline Herrington of Brandon was flower girl.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Chris Green of Brandon, Justin Howard of Meridian and Nathan Herrington of Martin.
Bubble attendant was Holly Harrington. Program attendant was Hunter Long. Guest register attendant was Kristen Culpepper.
A reception was held in the church family life building following the ceremony. Assisting at the reception were LeAnn Hollis, Rebecca Rigdon, Joni Taylor, Nicole Clearman, Teresa Long and Ellie Culpepper.
After a honeymoon in Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple resides in Martin.
