A 40-year-old Meridian man has been charged with strong-arm robbery of a woman at a supermarket last month.
Meridian Police Detective Deano Harper said officers arrested Tommy C. Bynum, 5041/2 34th Ave., over the weekend on a warrant for the Oct. 11 robbery at the Jitney Premier, 915 Highway 19 N.
Harper said the woman was robbed about 5:30 p.m. in the grocery store's parking lot and suffered minor injuries.
Bynum was being held today on $20,000 bond, Lauderdale County sheriff's deputies said.
Harper said police on Oct. 21 arrested a second man, Don Williams, 31, also of Meridian, on the same charge.
Sheriff's booking officials said Williams remained jailed today on $10,000 bond for the robbery, $35,000 bond for possession of cocaine, $357 bond for receiving stolen property and $157 bond for giving false information.
