Lottie Sue Branstetter Yandle

NEWTON Services for Lottie Sue Branstetter Yandle will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rodney Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Hickory Cemetery.
Mrs. Yandle, 67, of Hickory, died Thursday, Oct. 31, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was born in Spelter City, Okla., and was a retired cashier.
Survivors include two sons, Gene Reid and his wife, Sue, of Meridian and Henry Yandle of Hickory; a sister, Faye Miller of Newton; two brothers, H.A. Branstetter of Pas Christian and Jack Branstetter of Acampo, Calif.; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Robert Strickland, Les Ives, Dicky Stampley, Terry Todd, J.C. Wash and Ken Henley.
Betty Sue Abercrombie
Retired
Services for Betty Sue Abercrombie will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church in Kemper County. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Abercrombie, 95, of Akron, Ohio, died Saturday, Oct. 26, 2002, in Akron. She was a retired resource coordinator for the Blind Association. She was born in Kemper County and lived in Gainesville, Ga., from 1946 until she moved to this area to be near her family in 1996. She received her bachelor's degree in education and for 40 years she was a resource coordinator for the Blind Association. Betty will be remembered for her strong faith, her zest for life, and her love for music. She was a member of the Holy Spirit Episcopal Church.
Survivors include two sons, Milo Abercrombie and his wife, Mary G., and Mac Anthony Abercrombie and his wife, Tony, all of Akron; a daughter, Nancy Abercrombie of Las Vegas; two sisters, Dottie Murphy of Corinth and Liddie Murfi of New York; a brother, Meck Murphy of Pompano Beach, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the church.
Dr. William J. Anderson III
General surgeon
Services for Dr. William J. Billy' Anderson III will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Highland Baptist Church with Drs. Carl White and Beverly Tinnin officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery with Barham Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Dr. Anderson, 71, of Meridian, died Thursday, Oct. 31, 2002. Dr. Anderson was a general surgeon and president and chairman of the board at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. A Meridian native, Dr. Anderson graduated from Meridian High School. He received his premedical education at the University of Mississippi, graduating in 1954. He attended Baylor University in Houston, Texas, and received his M.D. degree in 1956.
Dr. Anderson was a general surgeon from 1962 until his retirement in 1998 at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. Dr. Anderson served as director of Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center for 18 years. He was a member of the American Medical Association, the Mississippi Medical Association and the East Mississippi Medical Society. He was a member of Highland Baptist Church and was a member of St. John's Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Anderson of Meridian; two sons, Dr. Shawn Anderson and his wife, Mary, and Bill Anderson and his wife, Josefa, all of Meridian; three daughters, Nell Covington and her husband, Stephen, of Meridian, Teri Thrift and her husband, Michael, of Columbia, Mo., and Mary Lampton and her husband, Steve, of Hattiesburg; a stepson, Todd Ratcliff and his wife, Tammy, of Meridian; the mother of his children, Russelyn Connelly Anderson of Meridian; 12 grandchildren; two brothers, Dr. Joe M. Anderson and his wife, Jan, of Boyle and John G. Anderson and his wife, Debra, of Meridian; a sister, Gay Whitworth and her husband, Bill, of Meridian; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Nell Gayden Anderson and his father, Dr. William Anderson Jr.
Pallbearers will be Gene Raley, Mark D. McPhail, J.W. Jones, Irby Lang, Bill Luckett, Dr. A.B. Smith, Dr. Harry Gibson, Dr. John Robinson and Dr. E.M. "Sonny" Jones.
Honorary pallbearers will be the medical staff of Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center, William G. Yates and Bowden "Skip" Wyatt.
Memorials may be made to the church of choice.
Visitation will be Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church.

QUITMAN Services for Leila Tate Rainer will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Bumpers Funeral Home Chapel with burial will in Rehobeth Cemetery in Pushmataha in Lisman, Ala.
Mrs. Rainer, 84, of Pushmataha,Ala., died Thursday, Oct. 31, 2002, in Pennington, Ala.
Survivors include her niece, Betty Lynn Garrison of Pennington; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be today from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Thermon Brazzle Sr.
Carpenter
SEBASTOPOL Services for Thermon Brazzle Sr. will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Springhill Baptist Church with the Revs. Thermon Brazzle Jr., Larry Hawkins, Harvey Olive, Linberg Wess, James McCune and Jeremy Belk officiating. Burial will be in Morrow Cemetery in Neshoba County. Milling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Brazzle, 87, of Philadelphia, died Thursday, Oct. 31, 2002, in Philadelphia.
Survivors include seven daughters, Bessie Bell and her husband, Larry, and Marcie Wells and her husband, Clearance all of Moss Point, Esterline Garrett and her husband, Roland, of Jackson, Climerteen Matheny of Pascagoula, Ronnie Brazzle of Miami, Margie Hite of Gautier, and Onie Jupiter of Halbrook, N.Y.; five sons, J.E. "Jake" Brazzle and his wife, Lois, of Union, Haywood Brazzle of Milwaukee, J.B. Brazzle and the Rev. Thermon Brazzle Jr., and his wife, Deborah, all of Philadelphia, and Willie Brazzle and his wife, Ethel, of Gautier; a sister, Henrietta Richmond of Chicago; a brother, Kenneth McNeil of DeKalb; 51 grandchildren; 79 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Emma Brazzle and Bessie McBeath Brazzle; and a daughter, Jaunita Sipp Brazzle.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
Visitation will be Monday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the funeral home and 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.
