25th anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. David Hatcher of Cuba, Ala., celebrated their 25th anniversary on Sept. 30, 2002. They were married in York, Ala. The Hatchers will celebrate their anniversary with a trip to Brandon, Mo.
30th anniversary
C.K. and Vicki Ward of Duffee were married Oct. 2, 1972, in Chunky. They have two children, Ken Ward and Dawn Fredrick, both of Duffee; and one grandchild, Katelyn Fredrick. The Wards are awaiting the birth of their second grandchild in December.
50th anniversary
The children of Jim and Tressie Rigdon will honor their parents with a reception celebrating their 50th anniversary on Oct. 12, 2002, from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. at Pine Grove Baptist Church in the House community. The Rigdons have five children: Felicia Wilkinson, Dewayne Rigdon, J.T. Rigdon, Johnny Rigdon and Anita White; 18 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to attend.
90th birthday
A 90th birthday celebration for Bessie Kate Garrison will be Sunday, Oct. 13, 2002, from 2 p.m.-3:30 p.m. in the church fellowship hall of Calvary Baptist Church, 3905 Eighth St. The event is hosted by her granddaughters, Suzy Nelson and Kathy Nealy. Family and friends are invited to attend.
