Combs, Dennis

Kane and Susan Combs of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Karen Leigh, to Michael Scott Dennis, son of Steve and Betsy Holcombe of Cuba, Ala., and Scott Dennis of York, Ala.
The wedding will be Saturday, Oct. 26, 2002, at 6 p.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church in Meridian.
Miss Combs in the granddaughter of Anita Chisolm and the late Howard Chisolm and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Combs Sr., all of Meridian.
The bride-elect is a graduate of West Lauderdale High School and received a bachelor's of business administration at Mississippi State University-Meridian campus. She is currently pursuing a master's degree in business administration at MSU.
While attending MSU, she was president of the Student Association, Most Outstanding graduate of the Business and Industry Program and a summa cum laude graduate.
Miss Combs is an employee assistance and prevention coordinator with Weems Community Mental Health Center.
Mr. Dennis is the grandson of Pauline Brewer of Cuba and the late William C. Brewer Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Byron Dennis of York, and Mr. and Mrs. David Hatcher and Fred Holcombe of Cuba.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Sumter Academy and received a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of West Alabama.
Mr. Dennis is employed by Automated Accounting Systems of Livingston.
A reception will be held in the family life center of the church following the ceremony.
