Bazyari, Bynum

Cheryl Lynne Bynum of Laurel and Reza Hunter Bazyari of Meridian were married Saturday, Aug. 10, 2002, at First Baptist Church of Calhoun in Jones County with the Rev. Glendell Bynum officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Daniel T. Bynum of Laurel, and Dr. and Mrs. Habib Bazyari of Meridian.
Grandparents of the bride are the late Lizzie and Curtis Evans, and Elsie and Grady Bynum of Laurel.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are the late Burl and Doris Hunter of Philadelphia, and Malek Bazyari of Shiraz, Iran, and the late Sattiar Bazyari.
Nuptial music was provided by Becky Fulton, pianist; and Jaycee Butler, soloist.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father. She wore a princess style gown of white chiffon over satin. The gown was embroidered with tiny seed pearls over the bodice to below the waistline.
The scoop neckline featured spaghetti straps. Her elbow-length veil was trimmed in white satin. She carried a bouquet of pink and white silk roses.
Lisa Jenkins of Laurel attended her sister as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Tonya Davis of Laurel and Simine Bazyari of Meridian, sister of the bridegroom. Soraya Welden, sister of the bridegroom, directed the wedding. Ashlyn Bynum, niece of the bride, was flower girl and Taylor Jenkins, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man. Groomsmen were Bill Cook of Tupelo, Clay Howse of Meridian and Daniel Bynum of Laurel, brother of the bride.
A reception was held in the church fellowship hall following the ceremony. Hostesses were Melinda English, Lisa Breazeale, Helen Abercrombie, Teresa McMillan, Shanna Walker, Kathy Redditt and Dreama Relaford.
After a honeymoon in Branson, Mo., the couple resides in Quitman.
