    Obituaries for Friday, Oct. 11, 2002

    JAMES DOUGLAS PRICE
    QUITMAN Services for James Douglas Price will be held today at 11 a.m. at McGowan Chapel Methodist Church with the Rev. George Pugh officiating. Burial will be in McGowan Chapel Cemetery in Clarke County. Wrights Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Price, 78, died Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2002, at his home. He served 12 years in the Mississippi House of Representatives and was a retired Lt. Col. in the U.S. Air Force serving in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. He was a member of McGowan Chapel Methodist Church and the ADD Riley VFW Post.
    Survivors include, his wife, Maybell Price, of Quitman; three sons, James Price and his wife, Barbara, of Quitman, Gerald B. Price and his wife, Gail, of Meridian, Thomas L. Price and his wife, Gay Lynn, of Stonewall; a daughter, Sue Price Sexton and her husband, Bill, of Quitman; four sisters, Kathleen Kean and Lillian Ward, both of Meridian, Mildred Smith, of Quitman, and Ruth Conway, of Linden, Ala.; and five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Bailey and Nella Price; two brothers, Robert B. Price Jr., and John R. Price; and two sisters, Mary P. Pearson and Joann Price.
    The family requests memorials be made to McGowan Chapel Methodist Church or a favorite charity.
    Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church.
    ANNIE IRENE DONALD

    PHILADELPHIA Services for Annie Irene Donald will be held today at 3 p.m. at McClain-Hays Chapel, with the Revs. Curt Pace and Chris Vowell officiating. Burial will be in New Bethel Cemetery in Neshoba County. McClain-Hays Funeral Service, Inc. of Philadelphia is in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Donald, 86, of Choctaw, died Thursday, Oct. 10, 2002, at Choctaw Residential Center.
    Survivors include her daughter, Ramona Adcock; three sons, Gilbert Donald, Gene Donald and Shelby Donald, all of Philadelphia; seven grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
    THELMA WILLOUGHBY CARLISLE
    LEXINGTON, Ky. Services for Thelma Willoughby Carlisle will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Central Christian Church with the Revs. Michael Mooty, Carol Rawls and Bonnie Quantrell Jones officiating. Burial will be in Lawrenceburg Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, Ky. Kerr Brothers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Carlisle, of Lexington, died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2002. She was a native of Richmond, Ky. and a member of Central Christian Church.
    Survivors include a son, the Rev. Michael "Corky" Carlisle and his wife, Doris, of Lexington; a grandson, Absalom Carlisle; and two special friends, Mildred Paul and Caroline Namonywa.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Carlisle, her parents, Samuel and Muriel A. Pierson Willoughby, and five sisters.
    Memorials may be made to Friends of Ralph Carlisle Scholarship Fund, 2043 Manor Drive, Lexington, KY 40502; Missionary Fund of St. Peters Church, P.O. Box 27, Paris, KY 40362; Hospice of the Bluegrass, 2312 Alexandria Drive, Lexington, KY 40504, or Central Christian Church, 205 Short St., Lexington, KY 40507.
    MELTON O. BOYKIN

    BUTLER Services for Melton O. Boykin will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Bumpers Funeral Home chapel in Butler, Ala., with the Rev. Leslie Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Boogaloosa Cemetery in Needham.
    Mr. Boykin, 79, of Butler, died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2002, at Willow Trace Nursing Center. He was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Army.
    Survivors include two sons, James Owen Boykin, of Butler, and Jimmy Wayne Boykin, of Theadore, Ala.; a daughter, Linda Faye Chaulk, of Mobile, Ala.; three brothers, Charlie Boykin and Robert Boykin, both of Butler, Earnest Boykin, of Mobile; and two sisters, Rachael Mort, of Florida, and Berneice Boykin; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
    Visitation will be today from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
    PEARL CLARK
    Retired
    Services for Pearl Clark will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. at First Tabernacle Church of God in Daleville with the Rev. Charlie McMillian officiating. Burial will be in Blackwater Cemetery in DeKalb. Clark's Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Clark, 85, of Toomsuba, died Monday, Oct. 7, 2002, at Gaurdian Angel Hospice.
    Survivors include nine children, Lorine Gervin and her husband, Oliver, of Compton, Calif., Estelle Miller, of Toomsuba, Mary McQuartes, and her husband, George, of Detroit, Mich., Johnny Clark, of Cameron, North Carolina, Willie Clark, of Meridian, Alma Clark, of Detroit, Mich., Evelyn Foster and her husband, Oliver, of Meridian, Bobbie Clark, of Toomsuba, Bertha Roberts and her husband, Willie, of Meridian; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her parents and three daughters.
    Visitation will be Saturday from 6 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home chapel.

    Services were incomplete at James F. Webb Funeral Home for Pauline Hanna, of Meridian, who died Thursday, Oct. 10, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
