Vick, Philips

Mr. and Mrs. Charles T. Vick of DeKalb announce the engagement of their daughter, Dana Elizabeth, to Malcolm H. Philips III, son of Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm H. Philips Jr. of Rockville, Md.
The wedding will be Saturday, Oct. 12, 2002 at 4 p.m. at Highland Baptist Church in Meridian.
Miss Vick is the granddaughter of the late George Henry and Velma Hagan, and the late Thurman and Irvine Vick.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Meridian High School and Meridian Community College. She graduated cum laude graduate from William Carey College with a bachelor's degree in psychology. Miss Vick is pursuing a master's of divinity in Christian education at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. She is employed by William Carey College, New Orleans branch.
Mr. Philips is the grandson of Mrs. Malcolm H. Philips Sr. of Huntsville, Texas ,and the late Mr. Philips, and the late Mr. and Mrs. S.E. Gilkeson of West Virginia.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Gaithersburg High School in Gaithersburg, Md. He received a bachelor's degree in pastoral ministries from Leavell College in New Orleans. Mr. Philips is pursuing a master's of divinity in pastoral care at the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
