Two-vehicle crash claims life

One Meridian woman died from injuries she sustained in a two-car crash Sunday and another was transported to Jackson with serious injuries.
Twanna Patton, 38, died Sunday at Rush Foundation Hospital according to Marl Cobler, Lauderdale County Medical Examiner.
She was a passenger in a car driven by Shanta Drane, who was transported to University Medical Center in Jackson.
According to a report filed by Capt. Jeff Lewis of the Meridian Police Department, the crash happened about 1:10 p.m. at 14th Street and 29th Avenue.
The Meridian Police Department's accident investigation team is investigating the crash. Police had no other information today because the case is under investigation.
The driver of the second car, Drew Martin, was not injured.
