Marion town park gets funding

WASHINGTON U.S. Sen. Thad Cochran has announced the town of Marion was approved for a $45,000 grant to use for a town park.
Cochran said that the U.S. Department of Interior's Land and Water Conservation Fund approved the grant last week. The money will be used to construct a walking trail, basketball court, picnic shelter, restrooms and playground equipment in the Marion park.
