Jon and Patricia Risch of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Melissa, to James Tullos, son of Janet Brownell of Natchez.
The wedding will be Saturday, Aug. 10, 2002, at 2 p.m. at St. George Catholic Church in St. Louis, Mo.
Miss Risch is the granddaughter of Charles and Shirley Risch, and the late Joseph and Virginia Urbeck, all of St. Louis.
The bride-elect is a graduate of the Mississippi School of Mathematics and Science and received a bachelor's degree in economics from thee University of Dallas in Irving, Texas.
While attending MSMS, she was a member of the science team and the art club.
Mr. Tullos is the grandson of the late Virgil and Montiel Tullos of Natchez.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of the Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science and also attended Natchez High School. He received a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering from Mississippi State University.
While attending MSMS, he was a member of science team and Mu Alpha Theta.
Mr. Tullos is pursuing a doctorate degree in aerospace engineering at Purdue University.
A reception will be held at Kenrick Manor Banquet Center following the ceremony.
