Alberson, Teston

Wendy Rebecca Teston and John Garrow Alberson of St. Simons Island, Ga., were married the evening of Saturday, May 4, 2002, at the Villa Marianna on Jekyll Island, Ga. The Rev. Dr. Wright Culpepper performed the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Lawton Teston of St. Mary's Ga., and Casey Harper of Brunswick, Ga. She is the granddaughter of the late Emitt and Syble Teston of St. Mary's.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Alberson of Butler, Ala. He is the grandson of Mrs. Creagh William Brooks of Butler and the late Mr. Brooks, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Lloyd Alberson of Ashburn, Ga.
Nuptial music was provided by Leslie Baker, harpist.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a sleeveless white matte satin gown with a princess silhouette. The halter bodice and straps forming the key-hole back were detailed in bead accented re-embroidered Venise lace. An organza overlay, highlighted with a matching butterfly bow at the base of the open back, flowed in a chapel-length train. The skirt and train were finished with hand-rolled hems and lace. Her waist-length double tiered veil of sheer illusion was secured by a bun-wrap of re-embroidered Venise lace on satin.
Tiffany Teston of Brunswick attended her sister as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Sonja Harrell, Jackie Sipe and Leighan Jordan, all of Brunswick. Eliza Harrell of Brunswick was flower girl.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man. Groomsmen were Lloyd Alberson of Mobile, brother of the bridegroom, Rusty Daniels of Brunswick, brother of the bride, Matthew Waldrop of Albany, Ga., and Will Hunter of St. Simons Island, Ga. Aubie, the bridegroom's dog, was ring bearer.
A reception was held at the Villa Marianna following the ceremony.
The bridegroom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at SeaJay's Waterfront Caf on Jekyll Island, Ga.
Following a honeymoon in the Bahamas, the couple resides in St. Simons Island, Ga.
