Search and rescue teams recovered the body of an Atlanta man on Sunday in Dalewood Lake.
Lauderdale County Coroner Marl Cobler said that Bobby Miles' death has been ruled a fresh-water drowning.
Miles, 23, disappeared at about 5:45 p.m. Friday after the jet ski he was driving collided with another personal water craft driven by a 16-year-old boy at Dalewood Lake.
Maj. Ward Calhoun, a spokesman for the Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department, said Miles was visiting relatives at Dalewood Lake for the Fourth of July holiday.
Dalewood Lake is a fresh-water lake and residential development northeast of Meridian.
Search and rescue teams, as well as volunteers from all over the county and as far away as Sumter, Ala., provided equipment and helped in the search for Miles.
Lauderdale County Sheriff Billy Sollie said that Miles' body was found at 6:14 a.m. Sunday near where the collision occurred on the west shore halfway between the dam and the southern end.
