Dawkins, Prescott

Colleen Prescott and Stephen Dawkins, both of Meridian, were married Saturday, May 25, 2002, in Gulf Shores, Ala., with the Rev. Jeff Hancock officiating.
Parents of the couple are Richard and Linda Prescott, and Terry and Alice Dawkins, all of Meridian.
Grandparents of the bride are Ruth McCollum of Syracuse, N.Y., and the late Robert McCollum, and the late Lloyd and Lorene Prescott of Meridian.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Hodgins, Lorraine Jones and the late Quinton Pierce, all of Meridian.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a strapless floor-length dress with embroidered work along the top accented by rhinestones. The fitted bodice was attached to an A-line skirt. The bride was barefoot.
Stephanie Foust of Atlanta served as matron of honor and the father of the bridegroom served as best man.
A reception was held at The Beach Club following the ceremony.
Assisting at the reception were Ashley Dawkins, Bobbi Gardner, Barbara Kuehneman, Karen Prescott and Stephanie Prescott.
After a honeymoon in the Bahamas, the couple resides in Ridgeland.
