TROY J. MCDONALD

Services for Troy J. McDonald will be held today at 1:30 p.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Keith Grubbs officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mr. McDonald, 69, of Meridian, died Wednesday, June 26, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include his wife, Blondell "Dale" McDonald of Meridian; a son, Marty McDonald; a grandson; Tyler McDonald; and a sister-in-law, Dovey Knighten, all of Meridian; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil Lee McDonald and Docia Rose McDonald.
Pallbearers will be his nephews, Don, Randy, Ricky, David, Lee, Richard and Mike McDonald.

Services for James Carter Sr. will be held today at 2 p.m. at Keys Chapel in Porterville with the Rev. Floyd McConnell officiating. Burial will be in Keys Chapel Cemetery with Clark's Memorial Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Carter, 51, of Meridian, died Sunday, June 23, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include his mother, Birthrine Dean; a step-father, Johnnie Dean, both of St. Louis; a grandmother, Verta Bell Carter of Porterville; an ex-wife, Annie Pearl Carter of Meridian; four children, Janice Jackson and Yolanda Williams and her husband, Sandy, all of St. Louis; James L. Carter and Willie Clay, both of Meridian; a brother, Jack Carter and his wife, Minnie, of Meridian; five sisters, Dorothy, Clara and Odessa Dean, all of St. Louis; Geneva Cole and her husband, Jerry, of St. Louis; Lena Dean of Jefferson City, Mo.; and several grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, L.C. Burton.
EVELYNE JOLLY

PHILADELPHIA Services for Evelyne Jolly will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Hopewell United Methodist Church in Kemper County with the Revs. John Branning and John Stephens officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Jolly, 88, of Kemper County, died Thursday, June 27, 2002, at Neshoba County General Hospital.
Survivors include her daughter, Frances Johnson and her husband, Gene, of Philadelphia; sons, Dewayne Jolly and his wife, Maralyn, of Florence; Bennie Jolly and his wife, Joanne, and Leon Jolly and his wife, Judy, all of Collinsville; a sister, Frances Warren of Philadelphia; brothers, Herman Galloway of Yazoo City and Gerald Galloway of DeKalb; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nathan Jolly, a daughter, Dorothy Pittman, and a grandson, Derek Jolly.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.- 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
MERLE BARRETT
Graveside services for Merle Barrett will be held today at 4 p.m. at Clay Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Phillip Williams officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Barrett, 92, of Meridian, died Thursday, June 27, 2002, at King's Daughters and Sons Nursing Home.
Survivors include her two step-sons, David C. Barrett and Richard L. Barrett and his wife, Kay, all of Meridian; three grandchildren, Christy Barlott, Kathy Dean and Ricky Barrett, all of Meridian.

Arrangements were incomplete at Berry &Gardner Funeral Home for Thomas Essix Sr., 71, of Meridian, who died Friday, June 28, 2002, at his home.
