Howard, McDonald

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Howard of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Brandi Lynne, to Marden Victor McDonald, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold McDonald of Arab, Ala.
The wedding will be held Saturday, May 25, 2002, at 2 p.m. at First Christian Church in Meridian.
Miss Howard is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Thomas and Bettie Howard; all of Meridian, and the late Leo Howard.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Lamar High School and received a bachelor's degree in English from the University of West Alabama.
While attending UWA, she served as the mascot "Luie" and was a member of the UWA Dance Team. Miss Howard is employed as a dance instructor at Dana's Dance Studio in Arab.
Mr. McDonald is the grandson of Vera McDonald of Gadsden, Ala., and the late Homer McDonald; and the late Durward Thompson and the late Maudie Thompson of Arab.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Arab High School and received a bachelor's degree in industrial technology from the University of West Alabama.
While attending UWA, he was a member of the UWA football team. Mr. McDonald is employed with Bill Heard Chevrolet in Huntsville, Ala.
A reception will be held in the church fellowship hall following the ceremony. Family and friends are invited to attend.
