Morphis, Kirkman

Robert and Denise Spears of Meridian and Mike Morphis of Demopolis, Ala., announce the engagement of their daughter, Courtney Morphis, to Jerry Kirkman, son of Richard and Linda Kirkman of Enterprise.
The wedding will be held Saturday, July 28, 2001, at 2 p.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
Miss Morphis is the granddaughter of M.E. and Betty Brown of York, Ala.; George and Sandra Bunyard of Meridian; Mary Morphis of Ward, Ala., and the late H.R. Morphis Sr.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Clarkdale Attendance Center, where she was a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, National Honor Society, varsity soccer team for three years and served as a high school cheerleader for two years. She is employed by The Yates Companies Inc.
Mr. Kirkman is the grandson of Trudy Boone of Meridian and the late Donald Boone; Betty Stewart of Meridian and Bill and Amelia Stewart of Causeyville.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Clarkdale Attendance Center, where he was a member of the varsity soccer and high school football teams. He is currently in his third year of an electrical apprenticeship program and is employed by Edwards Electric.
A reception will be held at the church following the ceremony. Family and friends are invited to attend.
