    Retired teacher
    UNION Services for Edith Young will be held today at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Union with the Rev. Dr. Marcus Finch officiating. Burial will be in McLain Cemetery in McLain with Milling Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Young, 91, of Union, died Thursday, March 7, 2002, at Laird Hospital in Union. She was a retired school teacher.
    Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. G.H. Shattles (Geneva) of Frankston, Texas, and Mrs. James E. Mauldin (Martha) of Longview, Texas; a brother, Samuel R. Green of Petal; a brother-in-law, Bilbo Young of Jackson; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Grace Green of Hattiesburg, and Evelyn Green of McLain; dear friends, Rosemary and Buddy Langley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Z. Young; one son, Alex; her parents and step-mother; and five brothers, Dr. Leroy Green of Pascagoula, Dr. Earl Green of Hattiesburg, and Alvin Green, George Soule Green and T. Ben Green, all of McLain; three sisters, Mrs. Harby Kreeger (Ruth) of Long Beach, Mrs. Felix M. Ferrell (Katherine) of Chalmette, La., and Mrs. A.L. Freeman (Mary Frances) of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.
    In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to First Baptist Church of Union, 400 Main Street, Union, MS 39365.
    Visitation will be today at 9:30 a.m. at the church until time of service.
    Pallbearers will be Dr. John Green, Samuel Green, Frank Soule Green, Harold Carleton, Gordon Shattles and Charles Gardner.
    MARY LOIS DAVIS
    Services for Mary Lois Davis will be held today at 1 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Danny Balint and Jimmy Gerrard officiating. Burial will be in Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery.
    Mrs. Davis, 86, of Meridian, died Thursday, March 7, 2002, at Riley Hospital. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church.
    Survivors include two sons, Thomas E. Davis and his wife, Jean, and Richard A. Davis and his wife, Hilda Faye, all of Meridian; daughters, Blanch Dawson of Meridian and Verla Buchanan and her husband, Oliver, of Toxey, Ala.; 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas B. Davis; and a grandchild, James Michael Davis.
    Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
    OTHO SHIELD PARKER JR.
    Retired farmer
    QUITMAN Services for Otho Shield Parker Jr. will be held today at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church (West) with the Revs. Mike Campbell and Dr. J. Hardee Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Wright's Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Parker, 87, of Vossburg, died Thursday, March 7, 2002, at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital in Quitman. He was a retired farmer, agriculturist and World War II veteran.
    Survivors include his wife, Lois G. Parker of Vossburg; a son, Jay Goree of Petal; a daughter, Elizabeth Denham of Quitman; a niece, Denise Parker of Gulfport; three nephews, S.L. Scott of Deer Park, Texas, Richard Parker of Melville, La.; and five grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Otho S. Parker Sr. and Lena Compton.
    Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.
    COUNCIL NUNN
    Retired
    DEKALB Services for Council Nunn will be held today at 2 p.m. at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in Preston with the Rev. Melvin Rush officiating. Burial will be in Smyrna Cemetery in Preston with E.E. McDonald Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Nunn, 49, of Pascagoula, died Wednesday, March 6, 2002, at his home. He was a retired technical sergeant for the U.S. Air Force and a supervisor for Cool Storage Company.
    Survivors include three sons, Benjamin P. Nunn, James D. Nunn and Quinton L. Nunn, all of Preston; his mother, Marjorie Nunn of Preston; a brother, Marshall Nunn of East St. Louis, Ill.; two sisters, Bridgett Gibbs of Meridian, and Sandra Nunn of Preston; and numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
    He was preceded in death by his father.
    Visitation will be today from 1 p.m.-2 p.m. at the church.
    ROBERT O. WEYBURN
    Retired military
    MACON Services for Robert O. Weyburn will be held today at 3 p.m. at Cockrell Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Phillip Palmertree and Mike Howell officiating. Burial will be in Oddfellows Cemetery.
    Mr. Weyburn, 81, died Wednesday, March 6, 2002, at Heartfelt Hospice in Meridian. He entered the U.S. Army Air Corp as an officer, which later converted into the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Weyburn served in the Air Force in a series of positions as command sergeant major for various bases, commands and wings. He served in the Arctic during World War II.
    Survivors include his wife, Marjorie S. Weyburn of Macon; two sons, Donald B. Weyburn of Fall Church, Va., and Robert S. Weyburn of Newbury, Mass.; and five grandchildren.
    The family requests memorials be made to Living Water Bible Camp, P.O. Box 250, Danforth, ME 04424.
    Visitation will be today beginning at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
    WILLIAM GORDON
    Industrial salesman
    UNION Graveside services for William Gordon will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Union City Cemetery with the Rev. Fred Chamble officiating. Milling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Gordon, 63, of Pascagoula, died Friday, March 8, 2002, at Singing River Hospital in Pascagoula. He was an industrial salesman.
    Survivors include his son, Richard Gordon, of Gautier.
