Hudson, Watson

Ellis and Marie Stapleton of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Shanell Hudson, to Edward Watson, son of Charles and Dianne Watson of Jackson.
The wedding will be held Saturday, Sept. 1, 2001, at 10 a.m. at Little Bethel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church in Terry.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Northeast Lauderdale High School and received a bachelor's of business administration in accounting from Millsaps College in Jackson. She is currently attending Millsaps pursuing a master of accountancy program.
While attending Millsaps, she was a member of Black Student Association, Beta Alpha Psi and was nominated for Who's Who Among Students at American Colleges and Universities.
Ms. Hudson is employed by Jackson Medical Mall Foundation.
Mr. Watson is the grandson of Inez Owens of Terry.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Byram High School and received a bachelor's degree in political science from Tougaloo College. He is currently attending Mississippi College School of Law.
While attending Tougaloo College, he was a member of Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity and the Pre-Law Society.
Mr. Watson is employed by the Mississippi Attorney General's Office.
A reception will be held at the home of Charles and Dianne Watson following the ceremony. Formal invitations will be sent to out-of-town guests only.
