Thomas, Summerford

Mr. and Mrs. William Anderson Thomas of Shuqualak announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Margaret, to Adam Hyche Summerford, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Quentin Summerford of Birmingham, Ala.
The garden wedding will be held Saturday, Sept. 8, 2001, at 6:30 p.m. at Old Waverly Golf Course in West Point.
Miss Thomas is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Stephen Adcock and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Henry Thomas, all of Shuqualak.
The bride-elect is a graduate of The Baylor School in Chattanooga, Tenn., and received a bachelor's degree in biology from The College of Charleston in Charleston, S.C. She was a cum laude graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina with a bachelor's degree in nursing.
Miss Thomas is employed as a pediatric oncology registered nurse with the Medical University of South Carolina Children's Hospital in Charleston.
Mr. Summerford is the grandson of Mrs. Bailus E. Donaldson of Birmingham and the late Dr. Bailus E. Donaldson of Carbon Hill, Ala.; Mrs. R.Q. Summerford of Moody, Ala., and the late R.Q. Summerford of Birmingham.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Mountain Brook High School in Birmingham. He received a bachelor's degree in business administration, with an emphasis in management, from Charleston Southern University.
Mr. Summerford is employed by Bill Harbert Construction Co. in Charleston.
