Johnson, Jones

Osborne and Carolyn Johnson of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, TaTonja Rashetta, to Stanley Jones, son of Plummer and Jean Jones of Mendenhall.
The wedding will be held Saturday, Aug. 18, 2001, at 4 p.m. at New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church.
Miss Johnson is the granddaughter of the late Sam and Hilda McGowen of Laurel and the late Henry and Legertha Johnson of Carroll County.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Meridian High School. She received a bachelor's degree in nursing from Dillard University in New Orleans and a master's degree in nursing from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Va.
Miss Johnson is a lieutenant in the United States Navy, stationed at Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Va.
The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of Ruby Gray of Mendenhall and the late Lionell Gray and Archie Fletcher of Mendenhall and the late Gussie Mae Fletcher.
Mr. Jones is a graduate of Mendenhall High School. He received a bachelor's degree in criminal justice/psychology from George Mason University in Alexandria, Va.
Mr. Jones is employed with Tidewater Imports Inc. in Virginia Beach.
A reception will be held at Holiday Inn Express following the ceremony. Family and Friends are invited to attend.
