OBITUARIES FOR THURSDAY, JULY 26, 2001

GLADYS MOODY

PHILADELPHIA Services for Gladys Moody were to be held today at 10 a.m. at Salem Baptist Church with the Rev. Duaine Morgan officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery with McClain-Hays Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Moody, 94, of Philadelphia, died Tuesday, July 24, 2001, at Neshoba County Nursing Home.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Moody.

NEWTON Services for Thomas C. Keith Sr. will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Clarke Venable Baptist Church with the Revs. Dr. Richard Ethridge and Stan Buckley officiating. Burial will be in Decatur Cemetery with Barham Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Keith, 80, of Decatur, died Wednesday, July 25, 2001, in his home. He was a member of Clarke Venable Baptist Church, past master of the Masonic Lodge, first president of Decatur Development Association and past president of the Business Club of Decatur. Mr. Keith was an avid Boy Scout leader, longtime little league coach and past member of the Mississippi Banker Association. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Johnnie Keith and a son, Thomas C. Keith Jr. and his wife, Pam, all of Decatur; a daughter, Kathie Keith Bounds of Lawrence; grandchildren, Corey Bounds, Camp Keith, Daniel Bounds, Max Bounds, Keri Keith and Kirby Keith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jewell and Marshall Keith; sisters, Sara Keith Swift and Mollie Keith Atkinson.
The family requests memorials be made to Clarke Venable Baptist Church Building Fund.
Pallbearers will be Corey Bounds, Camp Keith, Daniel Bounds, Max Bounds, Kirby Keith, Darrell Dean and Gary Gilmore.
Honorary pallbearers will be Harold Webb, Lamar Blount, Ralph Gray, James Dean, Homer Hunter, Bill Rowzee, Royce Russell, Rudolph Barnett, James Yelverton Sr., Dr. A.P. Boggan, John Stroup and Ronnie Barham.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Services for Eloise McMahan will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Franklin Denham, Jeremy Jackson, Ron McGee and Michael Jones officiating. Burial will be in Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. McMahan, 76, of Meridian, died Tuesday, July 24, 2001, in her home. She attended Highland Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Willing Workers Sunday School class. Mrs. McMahan served as a Pink Lady volunteer at Riley Hospital.
Survivors include three daughters, Dottye Robinson and her husband, Eddie, of Horn Lake, Kathy Jackson and her husband, Donald, and June Farmer and her husband, Mike, all of Meridian; seven grandchildren, Michael Robinson, Chad Robinson, Ashley Talbert, Lana Jackson, Jeremy Jackson, Keith Farmer and Kelly Ishee; four great-grandchildren, Nolan Robinson, Alex Robinson, Victoria Robinson and Danielle Robinson; two sisters, Hazel Hudson of White Oak, Texas, and Lillian Evans of York, Ala.; a brother, Joe Chamblee of Union; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by husband, Toxey McMahan.
The family requests memorials be made to Highland Baptist Church Family Life Center.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and grandsons-in-law.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
EUGENE LEWIS
Heavy equipment operator
QUITMAN Services for Eugene "Gene" Lewis will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Methodist Church with the Rev. Ray Daniel officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Wright's Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Lewis, 62, of Rose Hill, died Wednesday, July 25, 2001, at Conva-Rest Nursing Center in Newton.
Survivors include a niece, Tammy Reynolds.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Tom Lewis.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church.
